Why does this mod need AIO to install? I prefer to install modules manually and would love a zip with the files.
Hello, AIO is needed because through it you can set the "stage" settings, depending on how low timings and high frequencies your specific APU and memory support.

How are you setting your CPU that high? I have a Mariko and would love to find it's sweet spot since I've been using the Citra 3DS emulator. I don't think it would take much more of an overclock for the few games I play to work near flawlessly.
Are you using Citra 3DS in Atmosphere? Such CPU frequencies are set in the 4IFIR modification and the Stage 6 (ST6) setting installed on top using AIO. 4IFIR also uses the CPU and GPU governor to dynamically downclock when needed.

What is the difference between ST6 and ST6+ ?
The difference between the ST6+ is the ability to set a higher memory frequency, and, probably, lower timings. You can put ST6 +, if your game console will freeze on different settings or have graphical artifacts, then go to ST6, if ST6 has problems, then go to basic parameters.

Mods have repeatedly said until the source is released that it can't be posted here, cooler refuses to post it and ended up cancelling it rather than simply complying 🤷

16 w meaning battery size?, switch battery size is 20w on portable mode, and 16w in table top mode, dont get confused

Thanks for you 4ifri 14 , I have heard it from bilibili, because I live in China.

When I try o installer it in a new sd card. I found it also could work on exfat, but the github link show it should be work on fat32. I try to place it in a exfat card, because my oled card is exfat, and I have lots of games in the card.

Now, i have made a backup, and try to let it work on my old tf card. It looks like it is working fine temporarily.

There is no mention of "16 w" in the post.
If you mean "16Wh" (watt hours), then this is the Switch battery capacity: "3.7 V 15.95 Wh (4310 mAh) Li-ion battery".
"~6W" means the average power consumption in watts.

Glad to hear that!
4IFIR will work on any file system supported by the console. But I highly recommend using FAT32. The implementation of EXFAT in the device leaves much to be desired.

If you still have questions, feel free to write to the 4IFIR-a multilingual support chat (even in Chinese).

And are you going to continue updating 4ifir on github (https://github.com/rashevskyv/4ifir-mirrors) or just in telegram?

Both.

Cooler can you try to fix the tesla menu crashing in docked mode that werwolv didn't fix?

I'm doing just that right now. The task is more complicated than it might seem, and for a full-fledged solution requires partial refactoring of HOS/Atmosphere. I will deal with the latter as a last resort, if there is no one else. But for now I will try to find a temporary, compromise solution.

Who canceled it? 😄 I've been playing Bulletstorm at work all day today, 60 fps with 4IFIR.

Long story. In a nutshell:

The moderator threatened to remove the links if I didn't provide a public repository. The GPL does not require a public repository (I have it on a public cloud, although according to the GPL it is enough to provide code on request). GBA rules do not require a public repository (unless I'm going to host modified binaries on GBA, which I didn't). But they decided to make an exception for me.

I could fulfill these requirements (already have), but since the GBA is not ready even (even for its own exclusive) to simply enforce the rules of the rest of the participants in my thread, I plan to find a less toxic venue where a "non-alternative-gamechanger" like 4IFIR will be welcome, where my stay is not will be a privilege.

Moderator I canceled 4IFIR from GBA.

P.S. I wouldn't be surprised if they take this thread away from me too.

Lemme correct Cooler3D since he doesn't actually tell the whole story.
We simply asked him to keep an up to date source code and with THE CHANGES written out. The GPL requires that. Plus you can have it hosted on Mega if you so wish, we still would require you follow the GPL, to even have your project linked here.

Plus, it's 2023. If you can upload your modified files, you can sure as hell upload the source code. Stop trying to hide behind that silly argument... Stop being a mooch of open source and not contributing to it.

Are you seriously? So I've misunderstood you all this time?

In that case, I'm going back to GBA lol.
