The second one (the one you linked) will activate automatically and it will also detect if the title is compatible with c2w patcher or not, so it's more reliable in my experience.

Not sure about the other one! But it seems to be a channel forwarder so you have to activate it manually. If you use Aroma, definitely go for the one you linked

Thank you for the respose, it helps alot. Yes, I'm using aroma. Will it work if I use a wuhb packager (is it possible to package an emulator???) to install the channel? I read that it has to be injected and set it to enable c2w, but I'm confused what to use in aroma? Apologies for the total noob question.

It's an Aroma plugin, so you just place the RPX file in sd:/wiiu/environments/aroma/plugins. It runs automatically, you shouldn't try to package it as a WUHB or anything.

It's posibble to use a WUHB for an emulator, but it's more of a forwarder. You'll need to install a channel of that emulator on your vWii for it to work. If I'm not wrong they're porting the boot2vwii app as a WUHB, but with custom routes. This drive has a few aroma channels that work this way: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1y4KDO52wImmoETJYF0UAap9nTNAUmnqq (they were made by FunkyScott47, a youtuber with pretty cool videos for Wii U modding, you should check his channel out if you're interested in this stuff).

However, I prefer installing the emulator as a vWii Channel with WUP Installer because it's the only way to get Wii U gamepad compatibility. You have to install the channel on NAND for the c2w patcher to work IIRC, not sure if anything has changed about that.

Sorry for the confusion, I already put the c2w_patcher.wps to sd:/wiiu/environments/aroma/plugins , what I mean is, should I install an emulator forwarder as wuhb in the wiiu (not even possible???) will c2w_patcher.wps (the plugin I linked) automatically activates if I use wuhb or should I inject it using teconmoons and install using WUP installer?

Follow up question: I'm wondering why ULGX installed as WUHB does not disable the usb port and can still access my vwii usb HDD while vWii forwarded channels on wiiU disabled access to usb? Is there a possibilty in the future for forwarded channels on wiiu to access the usb or is it a lost cause? That sweet gamepad support and access to usb is the only thing missing in my set-up.

Apologies for the barrage of question, I'm trying to learn more how things around the wiiU works. Thank you

Already did this part.

Yep, love Scott, he's my go to guy these past days I've been tinkering with my wiiU and been browsing and asking these forums and threads to learn a little more deeper. I use his ULGX wuhb for aroma along with godreborn and CheatFreak\s compiles in the other thread.

However, I prefer installing the emulator as a vWii Channel with WUP Installer because it's the only way to get Wii U gamepad compatibility. You have to install the channel on NAND for the c2w patcher to work IIRC, not sure if anything has changed about that.

Does installing the emulator as a vwii channel with WUP installer works well in Aroma? In my experience, some works well and some do not (bad injects maybe?)
My only gripe about WUP installed channels are they disable the usb port so I can't access my vwii usb HDD but overall, the gamepad support is sweet.

Yeah, I have used the emulators with Wii U Gamepad support just fine in Aroma. It's a matter of preference if you want the Wii U Gamepad support or the USB HDD support, sadly you can't do both at the same time, but it's possible to have both a vWii channel and a forwarder/WUHB so you can choose the one you need.
Also, if you want to verify the c2w patcher is working, the best way to it is with the WiiSXRX emulator, at the menu, choose "Credits"; if c2w patcher is active, at the bottom it'll say 1.215 ghz (without overclock, it says 729mhz instead)

Are there specific list of emulators compatible with c2w patcher? I enable cafe2wii patching (that's what you're supposed to do right?) on teconmoon's injector when I built a forwarder for snes9xtx for my wiiu channel but to my surprise, I need to press for 3-5 seconds before the button respond and its just scrolls all the way up and down.
Thank you very much for your replies, I learned a lot!

I don't think such a list exists but to my knowledge it's at least a PSX emulator and one or two N64 emulators. Wouldn't make much sense for a SNES emulator as this old hardware can be emulated with reduced clock speed just fine.

Others might know more about this through.

Oooh, so that's why it's acting weird. Thanks for the confirmation!

Well does anyone know if Genplus GX works with sign_c2w_patcher? For the Sega CD emulation to play animation and cutscenes smoothly.

I've tied two different forwarders with sign_c2w_patch with Genplus GX and they have both given me black screens. The author is pretty responsive, but don't know if he owns a Wii U. Do homebrew apps need some type of code to allow the patch to work? When I have time I'll make one myself just in case I'm lucking out without the patch enabled.

genplus gx is a problem of it's own It works but later versions stopped working as injects for me try a earlier build Im unsure which version it is that works and where it breaks though it's not a sign_c2w_patch issue

Hey there sorry for the late reply but I installed Wii64 using wup installer, this version: mega.nz/folder/Vo9mnIJD#_oCwzqAqCTltMdWLL9u5rg

Is this still the latest version? I tried the version labeled New in your emulator thread but it says title.kik is corrupted. Anyways, this one seems to be working well, but was wondering about the overclock. Do I only need to place the c2w_patcher in the plugins folder and that's it? No need to launch or install it? And no need to use sign_c2w_patcher anymore? Thanks for your help.
