current firmware encryption assumes you have rp2040-B2 with Flash ID starting as E6-6x

it could be your one has -B1, or -B0 chip, or the flash ID is different

will be also disabled in v2.6...
Flash ID: DE 62 38 C7 C3 2D 54 36

Haha yea that was it. I get a zero in a couple of days but hopefully I can still use this one in the future

I now know why many use the CPU cable rather than soldering the mosfet.... its pretty dang tiny! I think I'll be cross eyed for the next week. CPU cable ordered

Haha, this is nuts.
Just did an XKJ, white LED for 3 seconds... now just pulsing blue forever, then white LED for 3 seconds, pulsing blue again??? XD

I am putting the fw2.5+unlock firmware on them both, only for them to dissapear once done on the PC, right?

I have RP2040-Zeros here, I'm sure it's nothing I'm doing????

Added a few photos........

Have you tried the 2.5 firmware alone? without unlock.. i used the fw2.5+unlock but still have to flash the unlock.bin after any ways... just a shot. also did you have to bridge the rgb pads?

No and yes it was flashing green after flashing, so bridged and it went red after flash.
Thanks to @Dee87

I have removed the chip out of my XAJ now so I can keep using it for now, literally only just bought it.
I still have an XKJ with the chip in so when the Toshiba eMMC results come in I can try new things with that...

I guess when everything settles a bit and you guys find the best ways and everything someone will grab the relevant information to help the rest be up to date with this right? I also have an RP2040 and a MH Rise limited edition Switch ready but besides of that I have literally no clue on where to start.

I know it takes some soldering skills, my resume includes successful xstation and supercic installs but I honestly hate working with smd (did rebuild some audio boards for game gear and it was awful) How bothersome is this? I am guessing plenty... by the looks of it.

I couldn't find damage on my own. But it looks like it's completely broken. Capacitors on CPU have zero resistance. Someone told me it means that processor is dead.
I measured like.... 18-20 ohms on my cpu cap the other day and it boots ofw still. No magic smoke

Check the AIO thread, its a slow compilation of the good info we have so far. If you don't like working with SMD and other tiny microsoldering, this probably isn't for you.

I want to try the mosfet route. Once you close the apu shield should not look that bad.

To me, since we HAVE to buy some components for the PZero anyway (IE not easily harvestable, MOSFETs), the extra price of the flexes is WELL worth the easier install that also includes tried and true components.

That being said, I'm still hoping for links to the 'best' (price\shipping speed\quality\ease) flexes I can buy. For now, looking to buy 5xV2 (think I read that they work w\ lites, correct?) and 5xOLED.
