Misc How do I install custom languages or software

I live in China and I recently picked up a Wii so I can play Wii sports with my brother. Under the console it says ''(ASI)" which is probably the Asian version of the Wii? I booted up the console and found out that it was Homebrewed the system settings was in Chinese. The version is on 4.1U so most likely the region has been changed as well? Just so many inconsistencies. When I try to update the console it gave me error 340....7. I tried downloading Modmii and running that but it still didnt work. I even went as far as factory resetting the whole console but after that, it booted up with a health and safety warning in Chinese with the iQue website under there. I have searched the Internet for so long now and havent found anyone with the same situation Im in right now. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know it would be highly appreciated.

would like to change it to English because its on 4.1U but with Chinese language somehow installed

I think when you're on 4.1U you should have in the language settings English, French and Spanish as a language but since it's in Chinese i don't know but you still can check, if you live in china i think you can read chinese so i don't think i have to tell you what should be written

Im Chinese but I grew up overseas so my Chinese is pretty bad. But when I bought this Wii I thought it was all English because the seller only said it was jailbroken. Ill attach a picture so you can see what the language options have turned into.

Reinstall the wii system menu. At the same time you could update to 4.3

Grab Google translate on your phone and point it at the screen for live translations

Also u can run syscheck from the hbc and share that if you want more info

I tried using Mod mii, I followed a tutorial on how to re hack your Wii because I think the guy who I bought it from did a bad job on doing it. After I was done I got some new channels in the HBC but my version was still on 4.1U for some reason even when I chose 4.3U on the mod mii installer. And the Chinese language option was there still.

Did you use modmii 7.0.0 and YAWM ModMii Edition?

You followed the guide right? You didn't just copy files to sd and assume you were done? This has happened once or twice, lol

I have followed a pretty good tutorial on Youtube, and I made sure to follow every step carefully. I lowkey for got which version of Modmii but I downloaded it from the Modmii's official website. I have since returned the Wii because I feel like my problem is too niche and there isnt really anyone who had the same problem as me. Thank you for the help though!
