When it says "LED must be RED after USB write. if you see green, set "RGB mode" jumper"

Does this mean directly after the .uf2 file is written? like for a second max. Not when plugged back in afterwards or when actually wired into the switch?

I already thought about this but still looking for another way to proper mount cable into CPU surface than solder it into metal frame. But if there is no better solution, I will be back with SX cable way.

Yeah, I agreed with i) and I would like to move in to new position (below image)

For ii), after I read rihius comment, I have changed it and edit this post.

Thank all of you for your feedbacks/advices.
Any updates on this? Possibly releasing the files for us to make, or selling it yourself? My hands are too shaky to install the wires and MOSFET by hand.

Directly after flashing the pico, just short the jumper on the back if you get a green light after copying the uf2 file (mine rp2040 came like this), this way you'll get the correct color signal once installed on the switch.

Why only some people need to do this though?

Like there is difference in console or pico?

I have a feeling I shorted out hte capacitors on the cpu, the row highlighted in red now all have a 15.5 ohm resistance which is low enough for my multimeter buzzer to trigger. Can I replace them?

Prob a dumb question but I gotta ask to make sure, do we need to connect the flex cable to the chip in some way after soldering it onto the correct point on the APU? Or is the MOSFET just supposed to be there like that? Planning to order both the flex cable and the RP2040 Zero/one. Prob gonna ask a smartphone technician or a gaming console technician to do the solderings.

This is a printscreen from the first page of this thread.... From the adapter, that cable should go to the CPU pad of the RP2040-Zero (check the diagrams).

And why get a RP2040-one, if it's clearly stated that it works with Zero? :)
