The update file 1.09 simply can not be installed on my 9.00 PS4 Pro:

I have tried it with both

CUSA03173 EUR) Bloodborne.Game.of.the.Year.Edition.PS4-PRELUDE + Update 1.09 [PKG]

and

CUSA00207 (EUR)

I tried this tutorial, but it did not work for me, and I receive an error:

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

oh, I just looked at the video. I guess he already tried it. what is the title id of the game? you can find out through one of the options in debug settings, but I forgot which one. alternatively, you can use orbis toolbox. one of its options will display title id in the icon0.

Why do we have to perform these extra steps anyway? Why the update packages don't work automatically?

I believe it's the digest/checksum that determines whether an update belongs with the game. in order to build a patch, you need the base game, so that they match. if you take a base game from another source, they're not going to be the same, even if it's same game, same system.

I see, now I understand. Well, on the YouTube video that I have posted, they say that I have to UN-check the 'Force Scenario 0' option.

The whole reason for me, wanting to update to 1.09, is the fact that the stupid GOD MODE option on v 1.00 trainer of this game makes the beast invulnerable as well (yes, how stupid is that)

There is also a v1.09 trainer available that might be working correctly, as this game is personally REALLY hard for me!

Can someone post the correct 1.09 patch for the Bloodborne.Game.of.the.Year.Edition.PS4-PRELUDE version that I am playing?

Thanks!

Actually the 're-marrying' process worked, and now I have 1.09 installed correctly! All did was
UN-check the 'Force Scenario 0' option.

merge both right?

Not merge, the one installed has to match the one you trying to remarry the update with, so matching md5, unless you have the same fpkg that you installed lying around or you know where to source it, you might have to reinstall, or move the fpkg via appusb then remarry.
