Some games are the same as previous versions (graphically) and very close to being fully playable if it wasn't for some varying annoying glitches ([...] Magical Tetris Challenge, [...])

Wait, what?

I never succeeded to make this game runs on Not64 (and any N64 emulator on Wii), either NTSC or PAL version. The main game screen is a mess (I can't see my playfield nor my tetriminos, the opponent playfield is shifted).
Tested too on Not64 version 20221121.

What are your settings to make it playable, and what annoying glitches do you encounter?

I'm really interested, because if there's one N64 game I would like to play again on my Wii, it's really this one (it runs very well on Project64, but it's not the same to play on a PC).

Best Tetris version ever (despite the Disney skin), imo. ^^

You have two choices. Use Wii64 Rice version, or inject it, though this is kind of old info already. I do like Magical Tetris a lot too, maybe it will be supported some day in the future with Not64, as Wii64 has problems with the Wii U Pro controller which is key for me.

I mean, I want to use a digital-only PS2 arcade stick with Smash Remix, so I go boot Smash Remix with this setup, and my arcade stick stops working. I can use my arcade stick on Wii64, but Wii64 has no options for mapping the Wii CC's +Control Pad to N64's Control Stick; therefore, I can't control my character. I have to use a PS2-to-GameCube controller adapter on Not64 to make it work properly.

Testing Banjo Tooie NTSC-U, most of the issues are at a first glance, gone.

There is still the reocurring problems that on jump the entire game's textures will unload, leaving a featurless white void for a second. And Audio issues, it suffers from random slowdowns.

I need to toy with the settings now to get it running to workable speed, but its far far more playable than ever before.

Mayan soccer minigame is also playable, the transformed banjo won't fall onto the ground any more.

Many thanks.

DK64 has frame drop issues, runs very slowly, less than 10 FPS.

Bomberman64 has progressed, is still unplayable, but at least it shows the start menu.

I made a separate thread for this before finding this, so I'll throw my question in here, too, in hopes that someone following it will know the answer:

I can't seem to find actual instructions for how to create and load savestates in the Not64 emulator on Wii.

There must be something I'm missing because I'm seeing countless threads of people mentioning savestates in Not64, but I have yet to see any "press this button or button combo to create a savestate of your current game while playing it; press this button or button combo to load a savestate" details.

I'm assuming Native States are saves created by you using a game's official save function. Not64 loads and saves those just fine, but the only thing I see relating to savestates in settings is "Save State Devices".

Can someone help me with this?

You have to create the folder "saves" inside not64
SD:/not64/saves

Does doing that then produce an option or button combination to create a savestate?

Or does Not64 just start automatically creating savestates once you create that folder?

I have normal saves already (using in-game official saving) that have been loading fine, so I'm assuming a save folder of some sort was created by Not64 for that (unless it is just saving them on the root of the SD without it). Is "SD:/not64/saves" only for savestates?

Ugh, I'd hate to have to get all the way to this boss battle again to see if that folder exists on my SD card...it hurts lol.

Hmm, ever thought of exploring the very few options available? Like pressing the button :arrow:Current ROM in the menu?

when a game is running just go back to the menu select current rom and then there is load state and creat state there.

Why the sarcasm? I don't think my question was all that crazy. Regardless, thank you for the point in the right direction. :)

EDIT: Ah, pedro702, thank you as well! Really appreciate it!

LOL, no ill intention, but there's only 4 buttons left, discarding that you already know how to Load a ROM and Quit. Takes more time opening a thread, post questions and wait 24 hours for answers than just exploring an option, specially if you're dead set on not getting "all the way to this boss battle again". Anyway, make sure to have enough space for save states if your card is holding a lot or near full.

that argument is only if you want to autoboot a specific ROM file on startup.

Besides Wetrix, you can add Star Wars Episode I - Racer to the list.

Trilogy has been running great since aeons ago on Not64/Wii64.

No 240p with Wii64, either. Only Not64 240p working for me.
starwars racer works? didnt it have horrible issues? I havent tried it in a few years

it works. But it has glitchy stuff on the top border
Aside of that it's playable (not sure if completely playable, only have had a few races but the game didn't amused me to keep going)

Wish Rogue Squadron and Shadow of the Empire were playable though 😭

you can play star wars racer just fine do remenber that wii64 has a rice gfx pluggin that plays many games that regular wii64/not64 cant play for instance you can play shadows of the empire on wii64 rice, the only bugged mode is one camera mode (the first person look mode and the fly around walkers legs mode, all other camera modes work just fine i did 3 stages in a row perfectly fine.)
