I reinstalled the vWii menu and it worked fine for a while, but then a 160-0101 error. I was able to fix it via the recovery menu but then when I restarted, it got stuck on the Wii U logo. I was able to dump the logs but I'm not sure what the error might be (As my account is new, I can't post the link to the logs)

Did you set the Cold Boot Title to the right Region when you were in the recovery menu?

I don't see anything in the logs that would help me diagnosing the problem. If someone else wan'ts to give it a try, I could share the logs if @Juanen100 agrees.

The only reoccuring thing I can find ist
Code:
Installation Failure detected
 - Error value: -265150
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Installation failure log will be stored with error code '162-0000'
But I am not sure if that is the real problem, as I only see it in older logs and the Wii U boots far enough to get the Wifi network up.
Either you booted UDPIH a few times, which would explain why I don't see this in the newer logs or this has nothing to do with your Wii U not booting and was from something else you did. Do you recognize this error from anything you tried before?

Also I see
Code:
00;00;06;809: Error: Root could not get shared font data for font 3
but it happens pretty early and doesn't seem to cause a crash.

Did you remove the battery, because the log dates look strange?

If you want, you can share the logs, but yeah, the wii u was booting into the right region.
I booted UDPIH a few times to see if I could fix the error myself and then decided to ask for help here, so I don’t recognize that error

I think the proper dumper will take a little longer, so here is the current work in progress.
It will show errors during the slc dump (I am investigating that) and that is expected, nothing to worry.
If it shows errors during the mlc dump it would be something to worry.

Keep in mind this is a work in progress version, so you shouldn't trust the dump to be able to recovery your console in an emergency but it will show us if there are problems with the eMMC.

So does the interface matches Gary's recovery menu interface or it adds more stuff?

It adds more stuff I added the dump option at the top and moved the Shutdown option as the second option to optimize my test process and not wear out my eject button.

Does it display any notification via the LED? I have no vision on the menu and I want to know if it fails or not without the interface

No sorry, I have planned to let the LED blink but didn't implement it yet. You can just see if the LED turn purple and then press power and wait for 2,5h and see afterwards if you have anything on the SD.

Ok

Ok, so when I was half way done, I remembered the SD card I'm using only has 4GB. But from what I could see, it dumped 3GB of mlc and the slc dump was succesful, does that tells you anything?

Alright, I managed to actually unbrick my Wii U.

Turns out the fonts were corrupted and thanks to a person I met on discord called MattTheTeckie, I managed to unbrick it by installing a folder restoring the fonts

Did you do the complete dump and looked at the log for errors? This probably isn't the only corruption and further access will probably make it worse.
At least run the MLC checker to see if there are more corrupted files

I did run the MLC checker, there is no more corrupted files.

I had a custom font installed so when updating something maybe it got deleted or corrupted.
