There is an adapter from mayflash. This adapter allows you to use your gamecube controller as an "extension" for your wiimote. I have the white ones which even detects my wavebird.
Cool. It's on AliExpress.

I've got a variety of GCN controllers so probably won't buy this (unless it's half price :P).

Wondering in terms of functionality as this one specifies Motion Plus remotes are compatible? The other one is far more aesthetic though without the extra wires.

Also can anyone who has played GC games on a Classic Controller (analog triggers) say if you ever get used to the button layout? Thats the main reason I want a proper controller as Mario Sunshine feels so off with a different button layout.

In my opinion, the classic controller is good. But it's a bit difficult to hold because of the missing palm grips. Makes it feel like a bar of soap :hrth:

The grip really is part of it. Button arrangement moreso as I remember the GC layout and it feels odd. The other CC with grips has no analog triggers though.

Why not use a USB adapter for GameCube games? An USB adapter supports rumble while classic controllers (and as a result GCN to classic adapters) do not.

I don't like wires trailing across the room and wavebirds are too expensive.

The Wii CC is a bit like the NES with extra buttons and sticks. Guess it takes a bit to get used to.
