Just a tip, when mine was acting up (sd card reader) i accidentally discovered that the 3ds starts working after i put some pressure on the back cover, the area when you insert the sdcard, and it immediately freezes or gives an Arm11 whenever i let go. So if you want to try it, put a piece of paper close to that area, thick enough to apply sufficient pressure on the sd reader and screw it tightly. It might not work for you, but it's worth a try imo, specially if you don't have an sd reader replacement yet..
Very interesting! Though not working as intended, trying to do so clearly changed the timing of the freeze. So it might not be about the card reader per se, but its contacts. Maybe wiping them with alcohol and reconnecting the reader back to the motherboard could help. I'll try that while I'm waiting for the replacement. Thanks again!

Can someone give me info on how to cheat in all Titles unlocked for Tales of Abyss? There's a basic cheat list going around but it specifically doesn't have anything for Unlocking all Titles.

Hello new here,

Does it matter the version of the 3DS I hack?

Is it better the 9.5.0-4.E version it currently has or if I update my 3DS to the latest firmware, the CFW will be better?

You mean the method of installing cfw, the hardware model of the 3ds, or the firmware of the 3ds? And no for all three.

No, either will lead to the same thing (installing cfw). In your case, it's better to the follow the Soundhax method, since you're on a low firmware.
the CFW will be better?
No, same.

Hey all! For those that have installed Wumiibo Helper, have you encountered an error where it won't enable despite the message of it doing so (and rebooting)? I've repeatedly tried to enable it and activate it in a game, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've enabled game patching, and I've got the latest version of Luma installed. Any possible fixes?

Hello, I managed to install custom firmware on my New 3DS using https://3ds.hacks.guide/. Everything went smoothly except for Section V - Restoring WiFi Configuration Profiles. When I follow Step 2: Navigate to Data Management -> DSiWare-> SD Card, then either my system will crash and I need to do a hard reboot, or occasionally it will take me to a menu that displays some sort of error message and then shuts the system down automatically. I checked the troubleshooting guide and there's a section stating that if your system crashes at this point then you need to make sure the F00D43D5.bin file is the only one inside your DSiWare folder (which it was), an suggested trying to rebuild it and the bb3.bin file using my movable.sed file, so I tried this but launching bb3 is still causing the system to crash. Can somebody help me solve this? Will I even be able to get my Wifi connections back if I can't get bb3 to work?

EDIT: I just manually deleted the connection settings from the bb3 hack and re-entered my actual internet connection, will this cause me any problems down the line? The 3ds hacks guide didn't really explain why the "Restoring Wifi configuration profiles" step was important so I'm not sure why it wants you to do it that way (by running the bb3 hack again) instead of just re-entering them.

I'm coming from a hacked Switch. I just acquired a used (old) 3DS XL, and bought a microSD card for it. If I follow the 3DS Hacks Guide and install the hShop homebrew app, is that all I'll need for downloading and installing games on the 3DS? Also, how are updates/DLCs handled?

As for NDS ROMs, I need to acquire those as ordinarily downloaded NDS files, throw them on my SD card, and run them through Twilight Menu, correct?

You can either get the dlc/update via hshop or via other source online, update can be sourced from eshop if it is the same region.

As for NDS games, you can use Twilight Menu, you can also create a NDS forwarder for that game so it is on the 3DS home menu instead going through twilight menu to launch it.

Is the process similar to the Switch where you place the base game, updates, and DLCs all into the same folder, and it should install/run together without any complexity involved? Or do you need to go through a specific installation "order" to get them working properly? How is it handled if the game is installed directly through the hShop? Also, I noticed that there are multiple versions of a game in the hShop even in the same region; how do I know which ones work with which?

Does Twilight Menu come with a "forwarder" built-in? Or is that a separate homebrew app?

You can create a folder call "cias" on the root of your SD card and place all your CIA that you need to install in that folder, and use FBI to install it, you don't need to do that if you were downloading games/update/dlc from hshop, it is automatically. You want to pick the game that is in the same region as your 3DS atleast that way you will get update via eshop when they are available.

Forwarder are sepearate, I believe I used this to create forwarder for DS game to have a icon to appear on the home menu but keep in mind it is still going through twilight menu to launch the game.

Okay, so hShop downloads and installs the games for you. Do you still have to manually update/install DLCs afterwards? Does hShop intuitively know which region it is that you installed for a game, and feeds the right updates/DLCs automatically?

I'll check out the NDS forwarder, thanks.
