I have dinner in the morning, and this is what I had yesterday:

I have a little bit of a chickpea addiction (but that's only one can, I promise). I have it under control, though. Well...there are chickpea noodles underneath the actual chickpea curry.

And then this is what I had this morning:

Last time I made tuna burgers we were out of chickpeas, but I was desperate for some curry. So, I tried adding my curry spices, and loved it. So, this is basically the same. I was using the skipjack tuna for the extra omega-3, but being on LOA again, I can't really afford the extra fat. So, doing the albacore. They're delicious either way.

And then my dessert:

My homemade banana/oat bread.

Last night for dinner I had baked salmon with mushrooms. I don't really like fish, but I decided to take a chance and order this salmon in a restaurant because in the picture it looked very good. And I was not mistaken, I liked it madly, maybe I started to like fish already, I should try it again sometime. Do you know what I don't understand? That's why, let's say a year ago I didn't like pizza and today I already like it, well that's just an example. Why do people's tastes change so much? What can this be connected to, well, it seems to me that this happens because the person himself changes, and tastes change with him.
I know a lot of folks lost their taste altogether for a time or experienced noticeable change to their taste after being sick with Covid.

But it could also be hormonal. I'm sure there are a number of chemical or experiential components that could likely explain it.

More burnt-mouth food

Since I was still afraid of eating anything too hot or too textured, I turned the bread inside-out after grilling it. Best of both worlds.

And though I never eat white bread anymore, it was the softest thing they had. Good tuna burgers on the fly. (Swiss cheese for good measure.)

I had baked salmon with mushrooms. I found a new recipe and decided to try making it. I thought it was pretty good. So I'll probably make it again tonight.

I'll say ok, even though I hate salmon. I thought of trying it with more of a garlicky sauce n sprinkled with basil.

One of my wife's friends sent this home for us.

I didn't know what it was (woke up late, and wasn't listening when she told me). I don't eat a lot of meat, outside of eggs, so I was guessing beef, but it seemed darker.

It was farkin' amazing! I thought it was going to be tough because it looked so dense (and it was dense). But as thick as it was, it wasn't at all tough. And it was seasoned to insanity level. I'm sure not good for you, but so good for your soul.

Had to go back for elevensies:

Turns out it was lamb. I honestly felt a little bad after knowing that. And also, I'm sure that's pretty pricey. But man, amazing. That said, I think that's enough meat for me for a while. Whew...
