will this low firmware work on v2 switch
To get that low a firmware on a V2 you’ll first need to hack it with a mod chip and then downgrade the firmware.

Later revisions

Around July 2018, Nintendo quietly released Switch units with minor hardware changes and updated firmware to block exploits in the original Switch models that led to the ability to extract ROM images from game cards and software.

  • Ver. 6.0.0 (Released September 18, 2018)
  • Ver. 5.1.0 (Released May 30. 2018) <—V2 release after this date
  • Ver. 5.0.2 (Released April 16, 2018)
  • Ver. 5.0.1 (Released March 26, 2018)
  • Ver. 5.0.0 (Released March 12, 2018)
  • Ver. 4.1.0 (Released December 4, 2017) <— last 4.x update
  • Ver. 4.0.1 (Released October 25, 2017)
  • Ver. 4.0.0 (Released October 18, 2017)

Really no point of downgrading if they have V2 unit since it require a modchip in the first place.

ayup…that’s the implied joke. :rofl2:

Yeah just like the xbox 360 right? I think that the OLED will be never softhacked! (Maybe in the future but not now!)
Agreed. Not in any useful timeframe. A few years from now, sure. But who wants to wait when ~$65 for a modchip will get you there today,

We used to say the same about the PS3.

bro...
they tried with the 3DS, and STILL people can hack it after all nintendo's done to make it unhackable.

And like @Viri We used to say the same about the PS3." True!
What both of you (and every other person quoting the PS3 scene, for that matter) fail to realize, is that the PS3 and 3ds Firmware has never been 100% reverse-engineered and rewritten from scratch. Atmosphere is just that. SciresM knows the code inside and out, and says there are no bugs in the Switch's software. The only way possible is if the tegra's bootrom has an exploitable vulnerability. Or if someone is drunk while writing code for a future update.

And EVERY company learns hacking methods of EVERY console as the years go by... and mitigates the vulnerabilities in their next console.
