System transfer from New 3DS XL to OG 2DS using hacks?

Simply put, my New 3DS XL's bottom screen recently broke. This made me very sad, and my friend graciously bought me a sea green 2DS to ease my pain. I figured I could do a system transfer no problem, and it wasn't until I looked it up that I realized, Nintendo doesn't allow New 3DSes to transfer to any original 3DS model; only the other way around.

Is there any way I could use hacks to do the transfer? I'm willing to hack both systems, and can still use the touch screen on the New 3DS. It seems to me that the firmware cannot be duplicated, as two 3DSes cannot be linked to the same NNID. I'm not looking to copy or duplicate, but to cut. I just want to transfer over the entirety of my New 3DS's firmware to my OG 2DS, leaving a blank 3DS on my N3DS XL and all my games, apps, and NNID on the 2DS. Any help as to whether this can be done would be greatly appreciated.

System Transfers have to go through Nintendo’s servers even with custom firmware.

You can call Nintendo and get them to transfer the NNID, but that takes a while and only transfers the licenses for re-download, not any save game data.

Alternatively, you can put custom firmware on both and then backup your games and saves manually and load them on the other system. That wouldn’t move the NNID, but the games would be playable on the 2DS. You could delete the games from the 3DS after if you wanted.

You can contact Nintendo and have them transfer the NNID from one console to another. Then you can use the eShop to re-download all your software on the 2DS. Afterwards, you can transfer the save data for each title; this generally requires CFW on both systems. (You can work around it with some difficulty.)

Have you looked into replacing the bottom screen? It is not so difficult. (I'm surprised the screen is broken but the touchscreen still works.)

Sadly, the system account is a fatal flaw with the 3DS and Wii U, and is likely one of the reasons Nintendo is nuking the old eShops and Nintendo Network ID from orbit - All online purchases and data are tied to the original console instead of to an online account (like Switch, Steam, and Xbox are).

Are you able to get a replacement for the bottom screen and/or know someone who is able to do a repair? It didn't sound like your "New" 3DS XL is bricked, so a repair could salvage the system and keep all your data.

It also appears that Nintendo might still be offering repairs for New 3DS XL. You should check with them first:

Nintendo may charge you a fee for the repair, but it's better than nothing.

But that's entirely wrong. The whole point of System Transfer is that you can move your account from one system to another – and in the event that your old system is completely dead, you can contact Nintendo to move your account to a new system. It's completely different than it was like from the Wii.

But you can't sign into your NNID on another console and re-download all your purchased games, like you can on other consoles.
You have to actually transfer the NNID from your working original system to your new one, or call Nintendo and pray that they will still transfer the system. That's the problem.
If your original system is bricked and Nintendo discontinues system transfer services (and in OP's case, his New 3DS data can not be transferred to his 2DS), then you lose all of your purchases.
