Hello, I'm wondering about the most safe way to transfer game saves from CFW to OFW.
I have 2 switches. One v1 where I have access to atmosphere on emunand and clean OFW, second one the OLED switch. I would like to transfer the save from atmosphere to oled switch. I have purchased nintendo online. How could I do this to minimize the risk of getting banned? Especially the OLED switch. The saves are not modified in any way.
I've read a bit and people wrote that it's best to make a copy in jksm, then run OFW in CFW mode without internet connection, restore the save, wait for it to load on the nintendo server and restore it on the new Switch.
I'll just add that both switches are logged into the same account.

first of all. you need to own the games your tryna save transfer.

1: backup saves in emunand using jksv
2: boot syscfw, insert game carts, then restore saves with jksv.
3: shutdown, boot ofw, follow nintendo game save transfer function. done

99.999% no risk, been doing it for YEARS no ban

I only have one cfw OLED switch, is it possible? What I want to do is converting my persona 5 save data from PS4 to switch

I know the process from converting to transferring it to cfw by JKSV, but I have the legit copy of it and want to play my converted save on OFW, is it safe? I only have one switch device

Glad I found your comment been wondering about this, would it be ok doing this from a V1 switch CFW to an OLED switch on stock firmware?

I kinda did something similar. I followed a few guides that came up when I googled “Move saves from Sysnand to Emunand”. I did this with a copy I bought of Pokémon Violet that I had been playing on my CFW, but I wanted to move my save to my OFW non hackable other switch. I was also kinda afraid to load CFW on my SysNAND as I’m not banned and I didn’t wanna risk it, so this is what I did.

1. I copied the raw save data to my computer
2. Used one of the tools to access the SysNAND (you will need your biskeys)
3. Located the location of the raw save data on my SysNAND and replaced it with the copy from my CFW. Rebooted into SysNAND OFW, with Wi-Fi off just to be extra safe and booted into Violet, I saved in game just to overwrite my save from the CFW, just in case there was a mismatch of date/time somewhere or something that could cause a ban (I do not know if that’s actually the case, just being cautious).
4. From there I rebooted again and turned Wi-Fi back on, used my official Violet cart in my non-hacked switch and transferred the save data via the official Switch transfer feature.

This is a truncated version of the steps I took, but if you Google you will find very detailed guides on it :)

I'm online in CFW on my switches for years now, no ban yet, so you kinda made it more difficult then it needs to be.
As long as you don't install any xcis or nsps to the system, or mess with the online services with cheats or romhacks, its mostly save. Just make sure that no prodinfo blanking is enabled on the nand going online.

But besides that, yeah, your way should also work, its just a lot more work. ^^

Yeah I figured that, hahah. Maybe when I get a second I’ll look into it. I was running CFW on my SysNAND for years as well but I had all Nintendo services blocked so I couldn’t do anything. I just recently wiped my console and setup SysNAND/EmuNAND properly so I’ll have to give it a go!

You can't blame someone for trying to stay as clean as possible. You never know when Nintendo will check something new and your dirty nand is flagged.

But hey... Have you ever tried to use sysclk or reversenx while online in cfw ofw? Or just save transfers?

Sysmodules that give you an Online advantage in game (such as better fps in an FPS) could be considered cheating. Be careful out there.

I read this thread and am getting ready to hack my V1 switch solely for the purpose of recreating a lost ACNH island using a save editor (dont want to do anything besides what's already doable in game.) Is there a way to safely transfer that island from my V1 switch to my OLED without risking getting banned on my OLED console? I've been searching for a specific answer, but as I am new Im not entirely sure where to look for the answer

Does this mean not having atmosphere’s exosphere enabled for sysnand as that’s just a temporary patch or is that fine?

Also what about sigpatches? I obviously wouldn’t install anything to the nand but I didn’t know if just having them enabled would be enough to cause a concern.

Exosphere itself is always active, even when you boot stock via hekate, it's the trust zone reimplementation of the os.
There is a config in the atmosphere configuration to enable/disable the exosphere feature for prodinfo blanking.

Edit:
This config controls the prodinfo blanking for the sysnand:
https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/At...61830c42a0/config_templates/exosphere.ini#L54

Some packs set that without informing the user about it, or having a good reason to do so.

Did this recently for all pokemon games.

Setup is: 2x Switches (1 is CFW the other is a clean OFW OLED)

Code:
-> I transferred my save data of Pokemon Scarlet from my non-hacked OFW OLED Switch to my OFW booted (hacked) Switch.

-> Then I booted into sysCFW+Incognito and used JKSV to make save data/back up (Remember to use the photo album to access the homebrew apps).

-> Afterwards I turned my hacked Switch off and connected my hacked Switch SSD on my PC.

-> The next step to was copy the whole folder of my save file to another location as a backup.

-> Then I copied it again and edited that copy in PKHeX. After that, I exported the edited file to the 2nd copy of main and replaced it. The replaced copy then was added into the save folder on my SD card of my hacked switch.

-> I booted into sysCFW+Incognito restored the save file via JKSV and then booted into OFW.

-> I used the regular data transfer method to get my edited save file from a hacked to a non hacked switch: press + on the games icon (both consoles):

-> select data management and transferred the edited save file from stock sys (hacked console) to my non hacked one.

-> I tested the game and went online with my non hacked switch. I joined a random raid and everything works fine. my edits also came through.

If anything happens in the future I will share with you, but so far so good!
