OK, so a few days ago Nintendo released the "Game Vouchers" for NSO members like myself. But there are so much problems with it.

-Overpriced: Nintendo says that they're made to "help you save money on your favorite games." When it costs $99.99 each. That's not saving money, that was money on wasting money.
-Has limits on what games to spend them on. That may not always be a bad thing in some cases, but come on. You can waste one on Splatoon 3 and not BOtW. Make any sense? No.
-Why use these when you can redeem gift card money? You could use valid gift cards on these things and not have to use the "Vouchers".
-It all sums up to "I get your money, you get to download using fake shit."

These are back?
Yep for some reason they got removed in America a while back and have now returned. They have been available the whole time in Europe. I have zero idea why they were removed in America for a while.

Buy something I don't actually get to own? Pass.

Even the Switch game cards don't necessarily always contain the full game. :-/

There are no taxes on these vouchers. At least in certain regions. Not sure about the US. If you buy lots of digital games though this service for sure could save you a good chunk of money.

I'm all digital on the switch, and I have over 200 games, so I could've saved myself a great deal of money if noa had pulled their heads out of their asses.

I bought the voucher today from the Japanese eshop and the total was $76.

I fail to see how this is true.
You save $10 as long as you buy a $60 game, which most of them are. For Tears of the Kingdom it's even better.

Best combo is eshop card on amazon using a prime card (5%) > voucher (5% gold coin) > tears of the kingdom + another $60
it is absolutely worth it.

Not really. Just add the Sales Tax and that would be over 100 bucks.
