A couple of month ago I played ZombiU and Donkey Kong Country with no issue on WiiU. I Installed the homebrew channel and Installed a couple of backup games. But I never did the Coldboot Haxchi. I was able to play most games like this or used Mocha using a web exploit when needed but that's it I did not anything else to the console. I dont even have a SD card in it. The games are installed on a external USB drive (with it's own power)
Did not play or open the console for a couple of month and now when trying to open it I am stuck at WiiU logo with the song in a loop forever. I try unplug it, hold a couple of button down while booting remove and the plus the battery on the WiiU controller. It stop like magic without doing anything.
I was told to use the UDPIH USB exploit so here is what I did
Copy the file recovery_menu in the root of a SD Card formatted in Fat32
Insert the SD Card in the WiiU
Use the udpih_nxpayload.bin as a payload on my switch
Run UDPIH gadget on the Switch
Connect the USB cable on my switch
Open the WiiU
When at the second the WiiU Logo appears I insert the USB cable (that is connected on the swith using USB-C) on the front left USB port
Nothing Happen (still stuck on the WiiU logo)
Sometimes When I insert the usb a little earlier I have a black screen on the TV and ths WiiU logo on the gamepad
I try using the file recovery_menu_dc_init that I renamed recovery_menu on the SD Card
with that file I have a With screen with garbage on the TV and WiiU logo on the gamepad
Can anyone help me, is there anything I miss or am I doing wrong
I hope can repair my WiiU that magically stop working
