So I just found out what 3DS Bank was, developed by Rocket Robz, so I could put more than 300 games onto my 2DS console. When I select the new folder, all my homebrew apps aren't there, including FBI, in which I need to install CIA files. Do I need separate homebrew apps for each folder I select on the 3DS Bank? I'm confused at this point

I believe so, pretty sure you have to use like Rosalina Menu then install a copy of fbi.cia, it is like having a seperate NAND, so for example if someone already have a pokemon x save and that they don't want to delete the save but play a second playthrough they can use 3ds bank.

Thank you! I wish someone on YT had a tutorial video. I only know of one person on YT but he just showed the basic rundown on how to change folders

Is there another way to manually put the homebrew apps in the second folder? My Rosalina Menu isn't quite working..

You can just follow the guide's Finalizing Setup page again (you can skip the non-FBI homebrew if you want)

Edit: You can also simply use GodMode9 to install your CIAs instead of FBI, GodMode9 isn't affected by 3DSBank

oh god, never use youtube for any tutorials. so many have bricked their systems doing so, because most of the time these people don't know what they're talking about or the video is outdated.

It is easy enough you don't really need youtube video guide for them, usually youtube guide to install CFW for 3ds and other unit, people come here with semi brick unit asking for help.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
