Hello.

My preferred online alias is WD40 (based off of a nickname I had at one point in high school). I am 18.

I'd say I'm a collector of sorts. I mostly play PC nowadays, but will go back to some of the older consoles I've collected from time to time (one of my better grabs was Half-Life 1 on PS2). My console collection includes:

1. Handhelds: Original DS (with an official shell replacement), DSi XL, New Nintendo 3DS XL, Switch, and one of those foreign fake Game Boy clones with "200 preinstalled games."
2. Immoveable Bricks: PS1/PS2/PS3/PS4, GameCube, Wii, and XBOX 360.

One of my favorite game series I am trying to complete a collection for is Guitar Hero. That collection consists of:

- Guitar Hero 1/2/R80s/3, and Metallica on PS2. PS2 SG is about 95% in box.
- Guitar Hero 2/3/4/Smash Hits/5 on 360. I have 2 wired Xplorers for this and for use on the PC.
- Guitar Hero 3/4 on Wii, with Wii Les Paul and WT controllers. The WOR drum kit is also included.
- Rock Band 1/2 (has some DLC and content from the AC/DC Track Pack) on XBOX 360 and Wii (Wii doesn't include AC/DC or any DLC, BUT does include RB Beatles). The guitars for 360 include the Rock Band 1 Stratocaster. Wii just uses the instruments from that section above.

Sadly, collecting these is hard and I'm grateful for what I do have. Hopefully a full 360 game set presents itself and becomes affordable.
--------
Apart from that, I'll just collect whatever interests me. For my amusement park and coaster nerds, I have 2 HUSS Enterprise bolts (however I only have 1 as the second was given to a collector). In my spare time, I go to conventions with friends. Just to get any question out of the way of what I use to cosplay, I am a furry. I only have one head, and that's it (if you were wondering, and you probably aren't, it is a Cardinal bird). I might be the most chill out of some other furry friends honestly, because some are too high energy for me.
--------
If you'd like to know what other games I own, feel free to message me.

As for PC gaming, my most played title is Team Fortress 2. I am, at the time of writing, nearing 1k hours of playtime. My most played class is Pyro as of right now, but ever since obtaining a High Roller's Rocket Launcher (Minimal Wear, no added weapon bonuses, not strange)...

(Below is a preservation effort, for TF2)
I have made it my mission to obtain and preserve both strange and non-strange "Gentlemann's Collection" skins. If you'd like to donate to the cause, please feel free to. These things have gone up in price. However, you have my word that I would never sell these weapons. I'll take them in any wear or condition. I WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT, EVEN IN A MILLION YEARS use the Trade-Up system present in the game. I am NOT interested in any Top Shelf weapons. To be 100% honest with you, if you sent any skin/weapon over and wished to have it returned, I will keep my word. I'm strictly keeping these for preservation. Once again, this is to preserve these wonderful skins. If you wish to communicate on this effort, please reach me at WDGaming83#5926 (on Discord). From there, we can work out a deal hopefully.
--------

Thanks for checking this post out, and have a great day!

Hello @WD40 and welcome to GBATemp! :toot: :grog:
About the GH guitars, i also have 2 wired Xplorer guitars and 1 Gibson (wireless) for 360/pc, and another wireless Gibson for the Wii.
Sadly, can't play any of them anymore because it confuses my actual guitar playing ability, other than playing maybe on easy difficulty (when you follow the first 3 colors) otherwise it gets very confusing for me..

Thanks! I mainly play Clone Hero for a wider range of songs, BUT I have been brushing up on the consoles. I'm not going for FCs yet, but if they happen that's cool. In terms of actual instrument playing, I'm a bassist who does guitar on the side. So according to the one guy from college, "so you can play expert on GH and not get you bass chops confused. Nice." But what can I say! Its a good finger warmup.

Because most of the time you stay in that 1 to 3rd fret area, when it's playing something basic anyway, any notes higher than that my brain will automatically go to how it's actually being played, as opposed to what the game is telling you to press.
There's also the issue of strings, each fret area act only as a one string, adding to the confusion..
Drums on the other hand don't have that issue, most of the drum placements are correct (along with the kick pedal and 2 cymbals?) , i wish i had one..

And a shot of WD40 might help. :tpi:

Well, its better to know how the real thing works! Apart from the fact I paid $70 for that kit, I've read and heard from actual drummers that the placements are correct. Tbh, you CAN get a MIDI or digital kit and it will work for the console versions, and Clone Hero. Plus, its also a real kit too so that justifies paying over $100 for a kit that is both used for actual drumming and the side niche of being able to hook it up to a "drum brain" so it can convert the real drum signals to game inputs.
