I want you to be able to refer to the monster ID by the monster name.
Or is there a way to check which monster the monster ID is?

Had no problem editing USA saves.

I'd just like a way to find out to which ID the monsters correspond to, so that I can turn regular monsters into the gift code exclusives.

Have you managed to find a way to get both PEK and YUJI monsters into your team? since these are from gift codes which require connecting to internet...

We need someone to share a save with both of them to see if they are already included with the game and their IDs.

Did you ever figure this out? I tried catching monsters and changing the ids in the txt file but it never worked. I want to turn a drackey into an emeral king slime

You can't change monsters into other monsters. I'm trying to turn a drackey into a emerald king slime and it just doesn't stick. I tried editing the text file and nothing shows up when selecting monsters type. Am I doing something wrong? Even if I manually type the monsters number and stats into the drake's it never changes.

Found this trying to see if the game had console commands so I could test things easier xd.

If anyone still needs/wants saves files with the gift code monsters, I have those and the DLC ones on a backed up save. At minimum level with the other islands just having become available.
Files are from the US Steam version
File names: DragonQuestTreasuresSaveData0.sav / DragonquestTreasuresSaveData1.sav
