Hello! Got a switch recently (<2 months) and the other day I just noticed that there's no option to connect the switch to the home wifi through WPS protocol, I was wondering: Why?
Wouldn't that be much easier than having to insert the password by using the joycons' horrible sticks or the touch screen? Are there any hardware impairments?

Did anyone got luck with 60fps cheat on Assassin's Creed Rogue?

I used the one from AIO Switch Updater, Black Flag IV works fine, but Rogue doesn't and I did download for it's different title ID, app I'd...

Though masagrator patch works fine but I still would like to rely more on the cheat than the file.

I know some games just don't work with just the 60 FPS editted on the memory but why would someone then upload a non working 60fps cheat to gbatemp database?

Surprise I was the who uploaded the cheat cause its my database lol
I added every cheat with assistance from the main post of the 60FPS thread to the database I can't test them all because there's easily 100+. It was in the main post so I believe the cheat author made it properly.

Make sure you have the matching game version for the cheat

If your TID and BID match for the cheat and it still doesn't work let me know. You can check TID and BID for game by opening Edizon when the games open Program ID = TID and Build ID = BID,

I had to phone a buddy at Nintendo to find out the backstory on this so you kinda owe me one. Anyway, he said they talked about WPS for a while and even had plans drawn up to implement it but forgot about it until the last day before launch. They finally found the plans but apparently Itsuki had spilled bean dip on them and they were unreadable. Itsuki was ultimately fired for his carelessness and ever since everyone at Nintendo has been reluctant to redo the plans for fear it would bring them the same fate. To this day it‘s called the Itsuki WPS curse. Ask anyone you know who works at Nintendo and they will immediately know what you’re talking about.

That or there wasn’t enough demand for it to warrant the additional cost/licensing/components or what have you. X+Y<Z

I will check when I get home, but I think it should be right since I switched to AC Rogue which changes title ID and app ID and then went to AIO Switch Updater to download it which is separate from the main AC Black Flag...

But I will check later how it created the folder in the contents folder...

Fyi the switch doesn't have a region lock. You can play every version of a game on a eur console for example.

Switch is region free. Be warned though. They talk funny in England and their spelling is atrocious.

I just checked and my game is exactly that both TID\BID... I checked atmosphere folder and it's right too.

ps: It's not super important since the patch at least works, but in case the 60FPS indeed doesn't work it's pointless to have it listed and making people to wonder...

English is not my mother language, but indeed is much harder for me to understand Brits than most US people

Since you guys are talking about region stuff... Is there an easy fast way to make the game to open in English? I hate god damn games that follow my switch system language and doens't allow me to change and I always liked my Windows and console menus in my native language while the rest in English.

It makes me beyond pissed when they make something with locked language regardless of platform to the chosen on the system without allowing choices :whip:

Make sure you MAX OC and are in handheld. I'm not sure about this one but some games have double buffer v-sync meaning if you can't maintain 60fps it drops to 30.

I was in handheld and doesn't seem the case of having double buffer V-sync, because I tried max OC and even looked at the sky and kept perfectly locked to 30FPS...

with Masagrator patch it works right away and the game does seem to keep above 30 FPS fine whatever the value without double buffer V-sync, that happens on like Wreckfest though...

OK then, cheat is probably bad. I'll have to install the game later and see if it works. If the cheat doesn't work I'll try and make my own if I can't, I'll remove it from database. Thanks for letting me know mistakes do happen especially when there's 350+ games. Also we should probably discuss this here in the future.

Both work, but I deleted the AC IV Black Flag file and used the cheat from your database since that one works and use only the file for the AC Rogue from there since the cheat wasn't working for me...

Does anyone know why I cant install the base n64 online nsp or the base genesis online nsp? 15.0.1 and 1.4.1ams. Didnt work on the previous AMS and FW either, on DBI it says [0x00000202] path does not exist.
On Goldleaf it says: error 2356-0009 (0x1364) Invalid PFS0 (NSP) (9).

Tried downloading from different places, coincidentally I also downloaded the updates for both, and both of those installed fine.

Any help would be great, I cant seem to find anything about it aside from (uncheck read only on the nsp) but neither have this checked.

Can anyone help me with getting my mods to load in ACNH on a hacked switch, my files seem to be good. Does the switch have to be in a specific mode to load the mods?

Do you have the patches to install and launch pirated content? If not, then you can download them from this thread.

Nope, you just have to make sure they are in the /atmosphere/contents/(title ID of the game) folder as well as run it while in CFW.

There are folks who put in work on translations. I’ve not dabbled in that arena much though so I can’t speak to the translation scene.

It's not translation what I meant... I mean games that have English but force my native language which is what I have set in HOS and don't allow to change to English, it pisses me off when they force me the same language as the switch HOS language with no option to chose...

I know changing Switch system to English makes them English but I wanted to continue using my system in my Language but still trick the game that I'm using English in HOS to force it English.

On Xbox360 it pissed me so much for years that I eventually had to change system language to English because of this crap grrr...

Not really a question...

More a few tips for anyone attempting to replace joycon thumbsticks. I've now successfully done a few for friends and family. There seems to be a few things not in the videos etc.

Firstly after you open the joycon tape or bluetack the shoulder and trigger buttons to the casing. They have springs that can pop out while your doing this fiddly job.

Secondly most videos get to the end and then prop up the joycon on a usb stick, screwdriver or chewing gum wrapper. This is because the thumbstick will protrude beyond the casing so when you push the new thumbstick in the joycon won't sit flush to the table.

The solution to this is simply to fold over (tape of needed) some card and cut a hole or use a knife in the card. Create a hole wider than the thumbstick (for the stick to go through) and your good to go. Now when your joycon will be flat and sturdy while you work not precariously balanced.

Take your time some of these cables and connectors are like paper don't force anything. Also don't over loosen the zif connectors they're only designed to go to 90 degrees.

The way I did mine was to move everything out of the way and tape it down so I don't accidently knock and damage it. Obviously you have to undo the zif connector on the joycon. If it's the left there is another zif connector covering the scree to the joycon that also needs to be removed (although I will say I find the right ones harder). Other than that you don't need to remove things.

Lastly I really struggled to get the cable back in and it's hard to see if you've done it right. But I'm finding the best way seems to be to place the cable up to the entrance of the zif connector and gently stroke it into place. If it's bowed you've not got it... And if the cable goes over the top of the white plastic on the zif connector you've missed (try again).

I hope that helps someone.
