Hi folks- I have had no success getting the N64 online nsp up and running since my SX OS days, I think one of the first versions was supposed to work with one of the last SX-supported firmwares, 11.X or whenever support stopped.

Since migrating to Atmosphere I have tried a few times and was hoping the recent 2.9 version would work with my 15.0.1 AMS/E setup. But no luck. Consistently get the 'Software closed because an error occurred' pop up when opening.

fwiw I have had the NES and SNES "Offline" nsps up and running for quite a while with no problems (except a pop up when closing them). These are those modded versions with extra roms with some character popping out of the controllers on the icon. Never had a problem with linked accounts or whatever so never needed Linkaho.

Any ideas appreciated!

Do you have the patches to launch .NSP files? If not, these are required to run any pirated or dumped content. You can download the patches from this thread.

I believe so - all other games have installed and played just fine since migrating to Atmosphere, when I went directly to 15.0.1.

Currently using atmosphere on SD card, do I need to make a backup of this and how do I do it? (in case my SD become broken in the future)

Another thing, there's Switch/External SD card/sxos sitting at about 30GB even though I'm using atmos. Is it safe to simply delete it via PC connecting through DBI MTP responder?

For your FAT32 partition you can just pop it in windows and copy paste everything you can see to a local PC folder.

For your hidden partition boot into Hekate and backup you emummc/emunand.

please take a screen shot of the Switch/External SD card/sxos you mentioned. It’s not clear to me.

Hey everyone, it appears I'll be able to trade my V2 for a V1 to hack. I wanted to ask how I can continue playing the games I own online. As far as I understand, there is no way to play pirated games online right? So if I wanted to continue playing SSBU online, I'd put it on the switch's memory with the original flash, and when I want to play pirated games I'd boot up the pirated flash from the SD card. Did I get that right? And apparently the flash on the SD card needs to be on "incognito mode"?
If these are correct (i.e if I've understood correctly), can I partition an SD card so, for example, half of it is used for legit games with the original flash (and the original flash doesn't see the rest) while the other half stores pirated games?
Thanks!

Here’s a good guide to start with.

https://rentry.org/SwitchHackingIsEasy

It will give you a dirty emunand for homebrew and playing “backups” and a 100% clean (if it comes that way) Sysnand which will allow you to continue going online. It also handles the bits about blocking communication to Ninty servers and masking your Prodinfo to ensure you can’t get there and even if you did you don’t display your real ID.

Ok first off I'm on a banned v1 switch, 15.0.1 CFW, AMS 1.4.0. I've seen on sites you can download a nsp for Nintendy Online n64/snes/nes. Does this work on CFW, a banned switch, and offline use? And what would be the difference in using this as compared to retroarch?

hi there.

I'm trying to update my fw from 14.1.2, ams 1.3.2. and hecate 5.8.0 to fw 15.0.1 ams 1.4.1 and hecate 6.0.1 but after loading the ams logo im getting a black screen.

steps done: updated ams, hecate and sigpatches files, loaded the correct payload. No themes are installed. No folders like these exist in my contents folders 0100000000001000, 690000000000000D, 010000000000bd00. Updated the hekate_ipl.ini parameter to fss0=atmosphere/package3

Delete everything in your atmosphere folder on your sd card except for the config folder and then do a fresh install of atmosphere and dont forget to update fusee.bin.

Yes, it will work on CFW. I have it on my Offline Switch as we speak. The only difference I would guess is that injecting roms into the official emulator from Ninty is likely to be closer to accurate if not 100%…not that Retroarch cores for SNES and NES aren’t damn great already. I think the N64 stuff is better now but I’ve not done anything scientific in that regard.

Thanks for responding. Yea I was just curious to see if some of the N64 titles play better with it really. :grog:

it didn’t start off too well, to be sure, but there have been fixes along the way. If anybody could fix N64 on NX…it would be N
