Nintendont has a simulated half trigger press for L and R. You hold Left button and press the trigger you want. This is perfectly fine for Luigi’s Mansion and Mario Sunshine. Each controller calls this button something different. On a PS controller it would be called L1.

yeah, i know that, i use in some games, like F-Zero GX.

But what i really want is to swap A and B, and that can be only done with USB controllers.

So, i need some help with controllers:

For my Injected Cube and Nintendont games, i use a Wii Mote + Classic Controller Pro, which is fine for 80% of the games. But, games like Eternal Darkness, Luigi's Mansion, Sunshine and ESPECIALLY Rogue Squadron, the Classic Controller dont cut at all, since it lacks the analog shoulder buttons. For that, i want to use the Dual Shock 4, but i reall want to change the button layout, more especific the A and B button, swap its position (A is now X, B is O).

I know that you can change the controller.ini file whatever, but i dont have a single clue to how do that. Anyone who has done it, can you share the ini file?
The original CC has analog triggers, but the CC Pro doesn't. If that helps.

I got me three CC controllers in excellent condition for collection and mod (have the cable come out the top than the bottom).

The BladeGC and BattlerGC controllers from Retro Fighters recently came out. I tested a BladeGC on a PS2-to-Wii controller adapter with the Defender's receiver and it worked, but I have a feeling the face button mappings are mirrored and screwed up, making GameCube games broken-to-unplayable (unless a button configuration option is present in-game). It is possible to press the - button to change to the "Tony Hawk" face button mappings, but B and X are backwards, meaning that inputs for flip and grab tricks have been switched around. Is it possible to add a third face button option to Nintendon't? Particularly, I want a "Dreamcast" face button mapping mode where A/B and X/Y get mirrored on non-BladeGC/BattlerGC setups, but maps the face buttons to their proper positions on the BladeGC and BattlerGC.
So that means, if you press the - button multiple times, you'll cycle between "SNES" layout (default), "Tony Hawk" layout and "Dreamcast" layout in this order, and pressing the - button on the "Dreamcast" layout goes back to the "SNES" layout.

You can get configs on nintendont's github.

I understand Nintendont cant boot GC homebrew but is there any way of booting GC homebrew on Wii without having to install a patched mios?

I wouldnt mind using a patched mios but iirc having a patched mios messes with ninttendont?

nintendont doesnt use mios so i doubt it affects anything, nintendont runs in wii mode.

one thing i found out is 487+(bba added) is that if you use like riiconnect 24 or something some games will fail to work properly, for instance with riiconnect 24 agent under fire second mission will load the intro cutscene and black screen instead of loading the correct cutscene, for whatever reason when fix94 added bba in it seem nintendont is now affected by online stuff like riiconnect24.

oh really? well that's good enough then, as long as it doesn't interfere with nintendon't I may as well go the patched mios route :D
Thanks.

There is a way to load gamecube homebrew on the wii

https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Running_GameCube_homebrew_on_the_Wii
I haven't got a Action Replay disc for GC :/
Also in one sentence it says "This will only work on non-PAL consoles"
but then further down it says "Lastly, a Nintendo Wii. USA, JAP or PAL Consoles are all compatible." :P

iirc, the patched mios fucks up gamecube disc playback if you use any retail discs. it did for me, since I was still using it when I turned on my wii several months ago after having not for years. I had to reinstall the normal mios to get it working again.

Thanks for the tip, I cant see me using retail gc discs on the Wii if Nintendont works fine but its good to know..I'll probably have to mark the Wii as mios patched, just incase for whatever reason I decide to run a gc disc on that Wii. :)

I would've been the same, but the wii made a weird disc drive noise when the disc drive was initialized at boot. might be from non-use, so I was trying different discs. I have a wiikey in mine, so I was trying burns as well. discs work, most of them anyway. I think I only found one disc that wouldn't work, and it was a retail disc. all burns worked for both cube and wii. that was after installing a normal mios. it's pretty much not needed with nintendont, though I don't even have nintendont installed on the wii, I don't think. my cube rips have dios mios files in the folders, but it doesn't affect the games from working.

oh yeah patched mios might make reading gc disc broken even for nintendont, if you use sd or usb then you are fine,

So I have an off-brand knockoff Wii U Pro controller. It works great in the Wii U home menu, but when I use it in Nintendont (specifically PSO), suddenly the control stick is constantly being pushed forward. It's worked fine at least once or twice before on the same game, so why does it all of a sudden not work anymore?

third party stuff/fake are never garanteed to work on any homebrew.

I know that, but it's worked before. I must have messed a setting up or the controller itself is broken in some weird way. I still have an official Gamecube controller, so I might just buy a Mayflash adapter and use that instead.

EDIT: The first page says PS3 DualShock is supported, however when I plug it in via USB, the game doesn't recognize it. Do I have to pair it wirelessly somehow?

There are config files on nintendont github page. Ps3 might be on there.

is it a legit dualshock 3? if its fake/3rd party might not work since nintendont has the pid/vid recorded in memory and 3rd party/fakes have different pid/vid.
