MM-LINX - Super Mario Maker 2 Level Injector

nstall the MM-LINX homebrew application on your switch, to install levels uploaded to https://tinfoil.io/MarioMaker/ directly to your Super Mario Maker 2 Level slots!

Very early release, please be patient and it will get better with time as all of my applications do :) Feel free to post feature requests and bug reports.

This is currently hard coded to use the first user profile. Please ensure that Super Mario Maker 2 is not running, and that you have at least one SMM2 save on the first user's profile.

For maximum compatibility and stability, we recommend that you use ReiNX or SX.

edit: 1.03 added file browser for installing levels from (sd, ftp, http, gdrive, usb, etc), search, ability to change user, translation (needs work), ability to copy files to and from smm2's save directly, themes, other stuff I probably forgot.
edit: 1.04 saving / loading is now much faster and does not overwrite your save progress; added columns for difficulty, rating, and course id; ability to unlock hammer and super flower on supported cfw's.
edit: 1.05 increased security, mandatory update. Cloud servers will no longer work with previous versions (downloads section will be empty).

Could someone explain me how to inject multiple Packs?
I managed to create a saveslot with jksv and then copy over the files from silvershadow.
But how could i manage to inject multiple packs from silvershadow?
I cant inject them via MM-LINX it always tells me that there is no installable execuatble.
I would like to install all packs from silvershadow, since i have a 1tb micro sd.

Hey, unfortunately, it's just one pack at a time. So what I suggest is, copy all the packs to the jksv folder for super mario maker 2, and then restore one pack, and play. When done, restore another pack. Etc...

It's basically one save gave per profile on the switch.

I've looked through and tried several of your packs and thank you so much for these.
But i do have one request, all yearly MM anniversaries have a final pack with all levels, except for 4YMM, that one is all separately weekly packs. Could you please add all of them to a single pack like you did with 5, 6 and 7? And Is it possible for you to collect the Y1, Y2 and Y3 level packs?

Side note: you got duplicates on your google drive of some levels on 7YMMC, you have files with week 1, week 1-2, 1-3, all the way up to the last week with all of 7YMMC levels. Same thing on 5YMM but only one duplicate pack with half of the levels in week 1-3.

i didnt miss oct, just forgot to upload. ill upload both oct and nov at the same time.

@jajajavier21 i have the latest packs saved, just have to rename the files and upload them

@JaiJey hey, 4ymm was the first one released on switch (mario maker 2). I cant remember why i didnt do a single pack. ill try to do this to make it easier to play that set.

5 and 6 has a story: basically, they started 5ymm, and half way through, they changed it to 6ymm, so technically 5 and 6 is supposed to be one big pack, but because there were too many stages for one pack, i think i did the packs separately to make it easier to play.

as for 7, there is this pack: 20221016 7MMC Complete Anniversary Pack By Sshadow [01009B90006DC000].zip

year 1, 2, and 3 are from Mario Maker 1 on the wii u. unfortunately i wasn't around making packs back then, even if i was, can't play them on switch. I'm sure the stages are available somewhere.

rename Week 7 to 4YMM Pack 1 (56 stages)
rename Week 8 to 4YMM Pack 2 (8 stages)

regarding your other point of duplicates week 1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4. Its the same explanation as above. so Going back, the individual packs are useless and time consuming, but when the event was live, it was very important to ensure everyone didnt have to wait 8 weeks until they can experience the stages.

I will apply the same clean up for all the Anniversary Packs and detail the changes in my next update.

UPDATE 2: all anniversary packs cleaned up and reduced to 1 or 2 packs for each year (4, 5, 6, and 7), Oct and November stages uploaded.

I completely understand why it was done originally. It was just meant as a reminder that some of those packs are obsolete now that the events are completed and that you might have forgot to go back and clean it up.
Your packs are great, i actually bought MM2 because i liked it so much and it's kind of addictive, haven't played anything else since

thanks for that! I didn't have any intentions of changing them, as I'm too used to "preserving history as it is". but in this case, I think it wont hurt to make things a little neater.

Apologies, master noob here. I was able to get mmlinx up and running, and downloaded the zip file for the super mario 5 levels, where do I drop these on my sd card to then manually add them? edit: I figured it out, does the world .dat file do anything?

Hello.
I've seen a recurring problem but I can't find the answer. The MM-LINX app says that the level was downloaded successfully, but then when I enter the game it doesn't show up. Also, when in MM-LINX I delete those levels that I downloaded and they don't appear in the game, it deletes all the saved game, all the progress. How is it solved? Thanks.

Hi There,

I updated mm linx to v15 and followed the entire process. But the levels do not show up in the course bot of SMM2. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?

How can we still inject all the levels to SMM2??

@silvershadow - Can we manually inject the collection that you have created?? Great work on that though!!

Hello. Where in the 46 page post does someone answer why levels successfully downloaded with MMLINX, DO NOT SHOW in-game? Thanks.
It used to show up for me in the earlier versions of MMLINX, couple of years back.

I just upgraded MMLINX to v15 and then tried upgrading my switch emunand to 15.0.0. Also updated sigpatches.

But nothing has worked till date, the levels donot show up in the coursebot.

I am hoping someone could help with getting MMLINX v15 to work, may be we are missing some step. 🤞🏻

I've grabbed dec 2022. so everything is caught up now for 2022 (other than maybe some cool worlds or requests that i forgotten about)

also when trying to open any map, I see a black screen.

Hi, did you receive the error in JKSV when trying to restore the file? as that error sounds very specific to the game. Did you receive the error in game after restoring the file? when did that error pop up, did it pop up as soon as the game loaded, or when you tried to click on a particular stage?

I'm just trying to get your exact reproduction steps just incase I messed up one of the save files.

Please let me know exactly which save file you restored so i can test with that exact one.

if the kids just want to win, go with Easy. (some of these stages just involves starting it up and doing nothing, or running right, or no dangers.)


if the kids want to enjoy playing mario and learn how to jump and avoid obstacles, go with any "normal" packs. These are what i use for one of my nephews.
