edit: i played for 10 minutes. finished first area, no problems. finished second area, and here i got the same error. at the part where u need to throw urself down a pipe

I am having this problem after trying to join a game no difference if singleplayer or multiplayer. It crashes after I try to click begin and says at the bottom screen Sys_Error: unable to allocate 16777216 bytes. Any help?

There a .3dsx file of this floating around anywhere...?
Try the attached build, I just built the latest source and it made a 3DSX. Not sure why it's not officially published since the code already makes one, might have issues.

I don't publish the .3dsx because of memory allocations. The 3dsx wont work on O3DS and even N3DS without a cfw installed.

Holy crap, the hardware rendering mode is fantastic. Is there any chance at all that we get an option to choose between 800x240 and stereoscopic 3D in a future update?

This port is amazing, thank you for all your hard work Masterfeizz. Would it be possible for someone to share the lasted build of cias with the addons?
Sorry I'm a bit late, but I think I've finally gotten this and MrHuu's updated repo building, so hopefully I'll have these ready soon. To save people headaches later, here's what I did:
- Install the latest devkitPro 3DS tools
- Install 3ds-libogg (Msys2 Windows: pacman -S 3ds-libogg). I also installed 3ds-libvorbisidec but I'm not sure if that's needed
- Download masterfeizz's PicaGL REVAMP branch: https://github.com/masterfeizz/picagl/tree/revamp
- Build PicaGL (navigate Msys2 to the picaGL-revamp directory, make), copy lib/libpicagl.a to devkitPro/portlibs/3ds/lib and include/GL to devkitPro/portlibs/include
- Download bannertool and makerom, put the .exes in devkitPro/tools/bin alongside all the others. Only needed for MrHuu's fork
- Navigate to the Quake2CTR directory, make or make <mod name>

Hope I didn't forget a step. I still need to test the builds but they seem to be building fine.

EDIT: The builds seem to work, but the BFG and weapons from the mission packs seem to be missing their skins. Doesn't happen with MasterFeizz's .cia build, not sure what's up.
EDIT 2: Missing skins can be fixed by either turning down the texture quality or by using a .cia build. For some reason the .cias built from MrHuu's repo only allow you to install one at a time, looking to fix.

Thanks for mentioning, not sure why i missed that. It's fixed now.
Otherwise, as mentioned, use the .cia builds.

When running xatrix or rogue with music, these settings may be of interest:

Hi thanks for the build
im using quake2ctr.3dsx and keeps coming up with error couldnt load pics/colormap.pcx
i checked pak.0 and the colormap.pcx is in there
I have the pak files in baseq2 folder
please help.

Thank you so much for the builds, I’ve been playing Quake 2 for the first time and it’s truly something great. I didn’t know about Zaero either so much appreciated for that call out as well. Merry Christmas/ Quakemas :)
