The slider underside isn't flat, and neither is the housing. There are some longitudinal raised lines along the slider, and also in the housing. They are not very protruding, but putting something there would probably make the slider not slide as smoothly.

Edit: I actually had tried that, and it didn't work for me because of the friction. Maybe it needed to be an even thinner piece?

Yep, missed your original post on that. I see it now. My bad!

Looks like these are back in stock on amazon. They seems to be same revision, but maybe they are new?
Most of the time, they don't fix things fast enough to restock as soon as they did.

So no, most likely its not a new revised version, I'd stay away of them unless you're willing to tinker with them and risk damaging them worse (or fixing them, maybe).

I'd happily tinker with them if I didn't had to pay full price to get them in the first place.

Most likely AKNES got talked into putting them back up or decided not enough people were complaining to stop selling.

That sounds like... something at least. I sent Gulikit a message to their Aliexpress store before ordering asking about Chinese New Year as well as the clicking issue. They said the click issue isn't a problem with their current stock. So shrug. I suppose we'll all find out shortly-ish.

Great they've already worked on fixing it, I'll definitely get some when I can be sure it's the improved one.
If they send me replacements without charging me (they did refund me already for the first batch) I'll definitely check them out and relay my thoughts.

I probably won't be tearing them apart in as much detail as others have the first batch, though.

I also sent a message to Gulikit on Aliexpress, after I seen that they are also selling it on their official store. Response from yesterday:

Me: Hi, how are you? I bought a pack of 4 Gulikit hall sensor sticks from Aknes on Amazon, and those had some issues with clicking and jumping sensor on vertical axis. I contacted Aknes and was told there would be an improved version soon. Are the ones on your store the new improved version?

Gulikit: Hi there,it is the version

Me: You mean the new version? Could you please tell me what was the correction to the first design?

Gulikit: Hi friend, It is the same version as Amazon

Me: Oh I see. Thank you then. I'll wait for the improved version that Aknes said would be available soon then. Thank you

Gulikit: thank you

How did you contact them? I can't find a link to contact them on Amazon, nor an email address
Go to your order click to get help, select your item to confirm and then other/other/none of this option, now text window will pop up below and this is the direct message to the seller. Easy if i can do it in french you can do it in english :X

Thanks for the updates! I feel confident in ordering now. I’ll get the 4 pack and be sure to fully check them out before installing. My switch and my kids switch lite.

From what AKNES is saying, they have no control over which batch you get, so if you have problems to contact them.

I hope that they fix it because, to be honest mine are a bit less noisy than yours besides that one making unpleasant noise when turning around.

I never received my sticks from amazon.de, but I got refund. I might try again ordering some later when the known issues have been fixed.

I hope that the fixed ones are not like mine because, to be honest mine are a bit less noisy than yours besides that one making unpleasant noise when turning around.
We'll see. My ability to have any trust in GuliKit started out low and has definitely not improved after this whole thing.
