Man... Maybe it's a problem with your USB. You could try using a different USB or could try another loader. Have you tried any other loader like WiiFlow Lite?
Yeah I mean I never had this problem a couple days ago and I just got this hdd and it does have a advanced type c cable too I mean I guess I will have to try wiiflow lmao
I did figure something which kind weird which I could know it might not be my drive. Both of my drives use cables that look like y cables, except they only have one USB, not the two USB split. What's really weird is my wii u hdd that has my wii u has no problems and hasn't crashed or nothing, my other one idk. Just checked it again on my wii with my hdd with all my wii games, no problems. I has to be something I don't see, I tried changing the loader and games settings in gx and that just didn't work and my cios and base are fine, idk. Can you think of anything else?

Does usb loader gx crash and freeze if the hdd is not receiving enough power yes? And also I don't believe this is a y cable? I gonna get one and see that could be it, because when my wii games are about to crash my hdd beeps so...idk. I tried everything on there, I actually tried enable ios block and it worked for a bit and broke, but I could be the cable issue idk. What do u think?
