Hi!! I have a WiiU that has only been used last time 1-2 years ago, when it was 5.5.5. My problem is that at the time there was only browser exploits, I don't have any CFW installed (I think). To my understanding, the only way I got games into the system was by using a browser exploit to read my SD card and use the homebrew files and apps stored in the card. So I think nothing was installed. The thing is that I wanted to add more games but nothing is working, it won't read my SD card no matter how many approaches and fixes I take. I formatted the card a million times (FAT32, 32k), I cleaned the SD port, I named the card properly, the files are in their correct location, nothing is working. So I just want to upgrade the CFW and take my chances with something better.
Can I just go ahead and install Tiramisu or I need to know something in order to not fuck things up????
PLeasE, have in mind that I'm really no good with this stuff, so be patient. I've seen people in threads replying very rude to people like me.

You can't upgrade something which isn't installed. So let's start at the basics:
- Do you see "Autobooting" on the gamepad when booting the Wii U?
- Do you have a game called "DO NOT TOUCH" installed?

In case your answer to both questions is no go ahead and install Tiramisu but keep in mind that you need a working SD card for doing so.

No "autobooting" message on the gamepad and no game called "DO NOT TOUCH"

I guess it's all safe. Dope
