4.X cold boot probably isn't happening (IIRC it was only theoretically possible below FW 3.x?) but there's no point in burning your fuses. 4.x can be hacked via webkit and from there you can launch 15.x emummc. You can add the webkit hax to the news section of the lock screen so what's the point of burning fuses? You're just locking yourself out of a convenient soft mod to be able to boot OFW slightly faster.

I think they have 2 emunands. One for installed NSPs and one that is totally clean. Just seems a bit redundant to have two emunands if you ask me. Might as well either autorcm or burn the fuses.
Jesus Christ!

WIth two emunand in you can do whatever you want, play clean (OFW) and dirty (CFW).

PLUS you can still keep your real sysnand intact and your fuses intact for the sake of one day who knows maybe a coldboot solution will come along.

PegaSwitch > scripts (e.g. Nereba) just can't be considered fully coldboot because it needs internet.

Stop saying it's useless or redundant, it's the best solution and problably the ultimate solution.

AutoRCM is a superior solution to running two emunands if you want to avoid burning fuses.

So 4.x is locked out of the cold boot but there is no point of burning my fuses? I have pegascape installed on my 4.x right now but I also purchased RCMloader with the intention of updating my sysnand to the latest fw.

Mine is on something like 3.0.1 or 3.0.2, it was many time ago that I last checked to even remember, but whatever it came in like 2018 is what it currently is.

Just like my 3DS is in whatever FW it came with.

It might take 100 years and I could not be here but I don't care when softmod coldboot day comes if it works for mine I will be happy even if I'm already dead and I'm just a spirit (though totally pointless if the console dies on me before that day) :DB-)

I get what you are saying. Maybe eventually I will just mod chip a switch once I learn how to solder.

I wouldn't mind a chip on a home console like my Xbox360 RGH, but on something portable out of battery I don't want any kind of chip on mine unless it was mandatory like upgrading to a Oled or whatever :D

I know someone told me years ago at the beginning of the chips that there's a way to solder it without sucking any battery but I still don't trust black vudu magic spiders inside mine :toot:

Anyway I always used my phone for payloads and on switch carrying bag I have a OTG cable and I modded my joy-con with a On\Off button so it's just turning it to On press 2 buttons and as soon as I touch with the cable even without unlocking the phone switch is already loading Hekate, it's really not a huge hassle for me and way less than a minute...

Edit: I totally recommend modding the joy-con with a On\Off switch and in case you have a payload device like the SX Gear you can probably do it in less than 10 seconds the whole process and no more need to remove joy-cons...
