Square Enix airs launch trailer for 'Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion'

15 years after its first release on the PSP, Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII is making a return in remastered format in a few weeks' time. In anticipation of the game's launch, Square Enix aired a new, 3 minutes-long trailer:



The story of CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION begins seven years before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII and follows Zack Fair, a young Shinra SOLDIER operative. As his adventure unfolds, he discovers the dark secrets of Shinra’s experiments and the monsters they create.

Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion features HD graphics, rearranged soundtrack, fully voiced dialogue in English and Japanese, and an updated combat system. The game will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC this December 13.

Yeah, the original was a PSP exclusive.
I will just watch the cutscenes and be done with it.

That's your call.

However, I will say this--Crisis Core has one of the BEST endings in the entire FF franchise. I'm not exaggerating.

The game itself is okay, not amazing, but the story leading up to the ending is seriously incredible. You might want to consider playing it just to get the full buildup.
