Hi, just got homebrew working on a friends switch for him. The idea is to eventually give it back soon. Is there a way to dump and upload save data from a different profile? Since his account is bound to the hacked switch it only ever shows that even if I put my nintendo folder on the SD card.
Game saves are in the Emunand (or Sysnand, if you didn’t make an Emunand you filthy savage.)

Here’s a tut for how to manipulate your game saves with JKSV and NXNandManager:

Well the reason why I ask is my switch isn't hackable and would like to modify my personal game save. Will this let me modify saves across profiles.

Not 100% safely, it wouldn't.

You would have to have at least one switch hacked and they would both have to be joined to the Ninty network (potentially ban-worthy activity for a hacked Switch.)

If I were in your situation I would not risk connecting a hacked Switch Online until you get the hang of how everything works. Just my opinion. You will be responsible for your own decisions.

This is what I do. Not sure if right or wrong…

1) unlink account
2) add new account
3) delete first account
4) link new account using Linkalho
5) enjoy

I'm unable to use homebrew to load linkalho because I unlinked accounts... what should I do now?

also, how do I delete the account?

That doesn’t make sense…what are you clicking to get into hbmenu and what error are you seeing?

You can get to hbmenu (and subsequently run linkhalo) by holding down your (R)ight shoulder button and clicking Album.

It will be in Applet mode but Linkalho will run just fine.

You delete and add users in the official Ninty Systems Settings -> Users page

Hi Guys, short question:

Is it possible to create a forwarder (or whatever) linked to a Nintendo Wii Image which is running directly the Wii-Game?

Thanks.

I don't know, thats why I'm asking.
Only with Android/Lakka/Ubuntu Emulation.

Hello,

I have a v1 Switch that have weird behaviors.

It randomly reboot to Hetake either when I am on the Menu or inside a game.

I tried a brand new install with emummc on a new SD card with the same result.

Temperature of the console seem to be stable.

I removed the joycons in case of a short circuit.

The only thing I did recently was to update to Firmware 15.0.1, Atmosphère's 1.4.0 & Hetake 5.9.0 (with SigPatch)

Also, my kids dropped the console a couple of times so not sure if the issue is on the hardware side or on the 'CFW' side.

Anyone have an idea of what the issue could be or point me to what I should investigate first.

Right now I will boot on sysmmc and load a cartridge to see if the issue happens.

Thank you for sharing your suggestions.

Probably hardware problem since it was dropped.

Hi all. In my quest to learn about hacking the Switch I have learned enough about the very basic stuff such as how to install hekate and atmosphere, how to use Tinwoo, and the like. (At least, I think that I've learned enough...)

I now want to try a different challenge, namely insralling a theme. The Switch is great, but I am pretty tired of the gray background in dark mode. So, can anyone please direct me to some links with information (and hopefully some tutorials) on how to install themes, and perhaps some links to themes themselves? Thanks everyone.

Everything you need is here: https://themezer.net/

(hit the menu icon in the upper left and the drop down has guides for everything you mentioned and more)

Thank you! I'm checking out the site now.

Also, you've always been a better Bozo parody character than Krusty.

Good stuff. Remember to remove your theme before you upgrade AMS. It will cause black screen after Ninty logo issues if you don’t.

Herschel Shmoikel Pinchas Yerucham Krustofsky is a degenerate, always walking around with that I-just-pumped-the-neighbor’s-cat look on his face.

Anyone please have any recommendations for Animal Crossing hacking tutors?

There's a billion on youtube; I've been watching a few, but surely there's some that are highly recommended.

Basically, I need to learn the basics of how to even hack Animal Crossing.

Thank you for your help, as always.

I assume the answer is yes, but if one is changing the faceplate and joycon colors, it's 100% necessary to turn the switch off, right? Was hoping to not have to re-hack again.

The real reason I ask is Animal Crossing related--will re-hacking erase any Animal Crossing data?

Absolutely yes. You will have to power off your Switch to change the face plate.

Joycons will too, but they don’t have any impact on your hack.

Hacking actually does nothing to the Switch itself. Remove the SDCard and reboot, and (as long as you never ran CFW on Sysnand) nobody would be able to tell it was ever hacked. Think of Atmosphere as an enhancing layer on top of the Switch OS that allows it to do extra things. It never actually changes anything underneath. When playing Animal crossing the save is written to the Nand you are using. Here’s a discussion on Reddit that goes into more detail about transfers but while you read it, keep in mind how I started off this answer and you’ll be able to see that when you rehack your switch everything will still be where you left it.
