The authoritarian leader and regime took the next step in censoring and prosecuting the LGBT community and banning any media that portrays its members in a positive view. This law fines both authors and publishers as it does consumers who would have to pay a heavy fine if caught effectively consuming the media. Consumers may pay up to 400,000 rubles and companies up to 5 millions per violation. The law was passed December 5th.

Although the law isn't specific, a prior list has been brought up by Yana Lantratova and discussed by the government that includes the following videogames:
Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Rogue, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Borderlands, Circuits Edge, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Life Is Strange, The Last of Us, The Last of Us: Part 2, Fallout, Apex Legends, Moonmist, RimWorld, The Sims 3, Overwatch and more.

Other forms of media are still speculated on the exact pieces affected but given the broad definition of the law it can be used against every work portraying LGBT people in a non negative way at all.

If you only knew how I hate this stupid moron; him and mindless TV-zombies that eat any shit this dickhead is saying. You only need half a brain to see that basically everything he says is bullshit, yet so many people don't bother to rub two neurons together.

Recently he barfed that in 'some western countries' it's normal in zoos to show children how they kill and dismember animals just for fun. And I guarantee there are a lot of idiots that gulps this feverish crap.

It would change nothing unfortunately. The people beneath him were handpicked and filtered by him. They follow the exact same beliefs.
He's had most of the people directly below him killed so that they don't get any ideas about overthrowing him. He knows he's fucked but just keeps doubling down, which is why he needs "culture war" distractions like this one.

True, infact you've described how ALL Politicians, Religion, Clergy and Religious Leaders, Celebrities, 'Famous people', Influencers etc, Control the rest of the world.

Most people, or more accurately, Sheeple are dumb just f*cks who behave like mindless zombies waiting to be told how to live their lives...grow a brain m0rans and stop politicians, celebs and clergy from controlling your lives, otherwise you are just a slave.

When I read the headline, first thing that came to mind was TLoU part 2 but not in a million years would've guessed Assassins Creed games could be labeled as "non-traditional". Well, if my country was waging war I wouldn't be in the mood for games, either.

I believe its because there's optional romance in Assassin's Creed where if you're a man you can be with another man (or woman) and vice versa for women. A lot of games are on the list just for this reason.

It's rough and may get worse. The government excuse is to protect children so if you work with kids you can in the best case lose your job if not face legal consequences. I remember watching a DW documentary on people who spend their that's stalking teachers on social media and whenever they find any remote suggestion of non-heterosexuality they inform the government and they lose their job, get bar from being a teacher again and may face charges. This law followed this one.

Protesters usually face arrest and violence. Every demonstration is labelled as "LGBT propaganda" which is criminalized. There is also state sponsored militia groups that have a violent history against LGBT.

Doesn't matter for the Russians. They don't buy any games anyway.
Even pirating you can face charges.

Also the present day modern character, Layla had a female relationship I believe prior to the events of Origins. I believe there are other references to gay relationship on the extra files you gather throughout the games. I don't get AC I though.

There's a whole list of countries: https://internap.hrw.org/features/features/lgbt_laws/

They say, we should respect their laws and in a way, they are right because we are not citizens of those countries and that would be disrespectful. Those who feel that their country does not treat them right should fight for his/her rights, or even become a politician, if possible.

Otherwise, immigrate to a different country. Not ideal, but it could be a fresh beginning for a better life.

Moreover, Qatar has hosted this year's soccer world cup in their country and they demand respect from foreigners, yes, nobody should disrespect them. However, employees in Qatar and Emirates tend to be treated like slaves and hardly anyone ever talks about it. Don't human rights matter anymore?

Problems in Qatar don't diminishes problems elsewhere. And a human rights violation is condemnable anywhere in the world.

As for Russian options, becoming political opposition is kinda hard when policial opposition gets assassinated in the country and immigration isn't just a possibility for anyone. And it's hard to have any respect for any law imposed by undemocratic means. Elections in Russia are a sham and people in power work to please one man alone.
