Hello.

I have an USB extender connected to my Xbox One controller and it also works if I connect the Xbox One controller to the PC.
But when I try my PS5 controller, it doesn't work. I started to think it's a hit and miss with devices overall? I dok t feel like trying it with something big such as setting up an Elgato HD 60S and afraid of going through the hassle while it's not even working. So I kinda lost trust in USB extenders.

So yes, does anyone have an idea why the USB extender works with the Xbox One controller, but not with the PS5 controller? I mean, it's just USB, right?
Can anyone explain why and what I need to do if a device doesn't work with it?

Thanks.

PS5 controller you normally pair it via bluetooth.
Yes, I know. I don't have a Bluetooth stick for my desktop PC, but mainly the question is why some devices don't work with it, in this case from my experience my Xbox One and PS5 controller. Those are the only ones I tested and I don't feel like the hassle of setting up something that takes some time like setting up a capture card or so. And yes, the PS5 controller works without USB connector.
My PC is like a few miles away from my TV lmao

USB 3.0 supply 0.9A, and the PS5 controller wants 1.5A so that might be your problem.
