Your games are most likely installed in your Nintendo folder under the emummc folder which should have gotten copied over as part of your FAT32 data copy. That’s probably good.

Here’s where the trouble might be…You will also need a copy of your old Emunand. You can do this using Hekate by ensuring you switch over to SDCard at the bottom of the backup page and then backup/restore your boot 0/1 and full backup. Here’s an article on the topic that covers three ways to do it. I prefer Hekate because it’s all done using just your Switch.

VERY much appreciated!

No worries…looks like your SDCard isn’t big enough to store a 29G emunand anyway. You might consider an emunand in the near future when you pick up a larger card.

Great. FAT32 is the way to go on the Switch,

Try deleting the game and installing it on the SDCard this time.

Unzip and place the contents of the file in the root of the drive. Should be just these two folders that you copy paste there.

Let’s check the SDCard just the same using h2testw.
Do you know of any alternatives to Checkpoint for transferring saves from one card to another?

Don't wanna interfere in an ongoing conversation but my emuMMC seems brööken and I don't wanna cry losing all my save games. Happened after I did a plain restart without updating anything.
Then I updated atmosphere - didn't change anything
Then I deleted atmosphere + bootloader again and installed the latest deepsea - didn't change anything.
Copied SD on PC - formatted SD and put files back - didn't change anything.

No error message - just the classic black screen after the atmosphere logo.
SysNand boots without problems. It seems that atmoshere doesn't even log why it doesn't boot. Pleaassssse give me a direction on how to a) boot the system or b) backup my save files from the emuNAND files T-T

Look at NXNandManager and see if you can mount your emunand…

Do you have a copy of your prod.keys that you can get to on your SDCard? We will need itmto decrypt your mounted emunand (dependent upon step 1 above)

Retroarch has it’s own cheat engine built in. Any reason you’re not wanting to use that?

im just curious if its possible to cheat with edizon thats all instead loading the cheat on retroarch

Gotcha. I’m not aware of a way (doesn’t mean it’s not out there). Might want to join TomSwitch’s group. He forked Edizon-SE and Breeze cheat apps.

I did a backup before "hacking" the switch so if that one didn't change I have it as a file.
I'll try to follow that NXNand Stuff I hoooope I can manage
Thanks for the direction <3
Here’s a guide on how to do it:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/recovering-games-saves-from-nand-using-nxnandmanager-and-jksv.620758/

If you find that you can easily mount it, it might be something like fusee.bin needing to be updated. Maybe you accidentally upgraded?

I just backuped the save folder. Hope that's enough.
Now I'm planning to create a new emummc (this time with partition instead of file) but it won't be enough to just paste the folder into the new emummc right? I mean the users don't even exist. Is there a guide for this?
PS: love you

Yes, that’s all you need. So your backups are safe, but we might be able to fix your boot issue without all this pain. You can use Emutool after we fix your current files based emunand and move it from files to partition based.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/emutool...r-sd-switch-emu-type-on-sxos-and-more.550756/

Let’s try this. Move/rename /atmosphere/contents to /atmosphere/contents.bk and reboot to see if that fixes things.

If not, here’s a guide with most of the things you’ll want to do the start from scratch and later import your backed up save files.

Hello, a really noob question here: What do I need to know before getting my V2 switch modded? My local vendor has a V4 and V3 hwfly chip and he said that the V3 is more compatible. I don't know which one to get and have no idea about about the custom firmware and stuff. Thank you for taking some time to read this. Have a good day!
