Fizeau - Adjust color of your Switch screen

Fizeau
test.png

Adjust the color of the screen of your Nintendo Switch.

Features:
  • Modify the color temperature of the display.
  • Filter colors to one single component.
  • Apply color corrections: gamma, luminance, and color range.
  • Control the screen backlight brightness.
  • Schedule settings to be applied to dusk/dawn time, with smooth transitions.
Installation:
Download the latest zip from the release page, unzip it to the root of your sd card (be careful to merge and not overwrite folders), and reboot.
Only the latest version of the Atmosphère CFW is supported.
If you want to use the overlay, you will need to set up Tesla (install Tesla-Menu and ovlloader). This isn't supported on firmware versions prior to 9.0.0.

Supported firmwares:
All firmares are expected working. The software was tested working on 1.0.0, 2.0.0, 6.0.0 and 10.1.0. If you encounter an issue running this on a particular version, please create an issue.
Settings:
  • Settings are saved at /switch/Fizeau/config.ini, which you can also edit.
  • To reduce the memory usage of the sysmodule, settings are not read continually. Instead, they are applied on application launch. Thus, you will need to launch the client after a reboot to restart Fizeau.

This has probably been asked, but what's the performance cost when it comes to input delay? I mainly use my Switch to stream games from my PC. Would be great to use this to combat blue light, while still getting good responsiveness in streamed games.
I don’t notice any delay at all. What sort of delay are you seeing so maybe we could look out for it? At end of day it’s easy enough to disable if you don’t like the mod, no?

sorry for the repeat, @averne …your answer was on the second page.

Thank you so much for your job Averne, it is very appreciated!
I would anyway need some help from your side, if possible.

I compared my switch with a friend of mine one: as you can see from the below picture there is a clear difference between mine (greenish above) and his (reddish below, which I personally prefer).
I tried to play with several settings combination (mostly color temperature and saturation) but, despite all my attempts , I was not able to tone down that green which is always noticeable and very annoying on my switch.

Is there something I can do to directly (or indirectly) set/control/calibrate that green tint?
(I'm on fw14.1.2, atm1.4.0, fizeau 2.4.0).

Thanks in advance!

Hi, that would need separate RGB sliders that others in this thread have requested.
I'll need to sit down and do it at some point.

so let's say I Wanna switch from normal Fizeau to the chainloader version. what would be the steps to doing that?
I just did this change myself.
Absolutely love having Fizeau activate on boot!

IIRC…

0) Backup your /config/Fizeau/config.ini file!

1) Delete the current Fizeau directory:
/atmosphere/contents/0100000000000F12

2) Unzip the chi version at the root of your SDCard (you can overwrite ONLY if you backed up your config in step #0)

3) Restore your /config/Fizeau/config.ini

4) Reboot and test.

5) Job done.

I love my Switch Lite but the screen just seems so desaturated after switching from my OLED.

Does anyone have a settings file they could share to make colors more vibrant and blacks a bit darker?

Love this tool, thank you all so much <3
