Some places require 2fa everytime you log in like playstation and nintendo account if you enable them. Coned also require 2fa each time you login.
Well, they better. That's kind of the point of 2FA.
Also, something I remembered that's kind of on-topic, but not really:
Final Fantasy XIV logs you out every time you exit the game (whether or not you use 2FA), and the official launcher can't even be configured to remember your password. You have to either
- pick a weak one you can remember and punch it in every time,
- generate a strong one, store it in a password manager and manually copy it out every time,
- or download a third party launcher that will remember your password for you.
Of course, 2FA has to be input on every login, but that is all well and good. Again, it's kind of the point. It would be pretty weak for 2-factor authentication if it
didn't require you to authenticate yourself twice.
But I digress, that wasn't the topic of this thread. It was whether the site should automatically log you out every 30 days or not.
We have no intention of changing this at this time.
Don't forget to use the voting option if you agree/disagree with this site suggestion.
Yeah, that's kind of what I expected. While I do find this feature mildly annoying, it's nowhere near disruptive. And if you have your browser set to remember your password, it likely won't eat up more than 30 seconds of your day, once a month.
