Nice, if we can now add support for latest firmware we would be golden. I miss the XCI loader and USB loading.
That's not how this works. All this does is generate fake licenses that allow anyone to use SX OS without paying for it. This doesn't let us modify the source code which is what we would need to add support for newer firmware versions. And considering how generous TX was which sharing that kind of information plus the fact that they are now defunct, that is most likely never going to happen.

And for the millionth time, no one is going to port it to Atmosphere because we already have .NSP file support and its associations with piracy. After all, look at the hot water SX OS ended up in after flaunting their piracy features. That's going to make any developer not want to touch anything piracy related with a 6 foot pole.

Whatever.

It's not 'whatever'. The way TX implemented USB loading is exactly what got them in hot water in the first place. If you don't know what they did then you probably shouldn't even be asking for it to begin with. If you do know what they did you then you definitely shouldn't be asking for it because you know better.

Secondly, nothing has stopped anyone from continuing to use 11.0.0 and below games through USB. The sensible ones kept SX as is for old XCIs and dual boot Atmosphere for new games. There's no reason to expect Atmosphere to add QOL features that only benefit pirating and getting attention from Nintendo.

SX OS also contains brick code if you are going to mess with the firmware, so I wouldn't dare try it.

I think this is the first time anyone’s called us dual booters “sensible.” 😆

I love my hacked SXOS for what it does but I also know it’s limitations. All hail @Reacher17 for the hack (and @chronoss for sacrificing his license.)

I also love Atmosphere for what it does and know that it will never get USB mount support from #Reswitched.

If someone new to the scene were to pick up the void and create their own they would have a long learning curve and would invite the immediate wrath of the Ninty Ninja’s.

A lot of punishment for such little reward.

USB loading has literally nothing to do with the FBI raid.

It's that they were selling the firmware for $40 and they were also selling mod chips.

It's well known they were including copyrighted Nintendo code within that firmware. There's nothing illegal about selling your own code, it's a problem when it includes someone else's without a license to do so.

So? The court case was entirely that the use of SXOS was to circumvent the switch and enable piracy?

It has nothing to do with code.

Why is it that every time this topic comes up someone has to chime in with useless semantics? Everyone knows exactly why SXOS got heat and everything else still hasn't. There's nothing to add to the topic anymore, a dead horse is a dead horse. If you can still use it great, if you can't then who cares? Life goes on.

USB loading will not be added and is wishful thinking, end of story.

Yeah but couldn't anyone just simply make something to add to atmosphere to also load stuff from USB like SXOS...

I mean there's all kinds of game installers that can even install from USB, there's sigpatches, there's modules from many devs out there to do stuff from A to Z and they are also not officially in the atmosphere but can be added why can't there be a module or something from "XXX" dev to do stuff like the SX OS did...

Most developers doesn't want to do anything with piracy, that how team xecuter got into legal problem. SciresM would not do it.

I'ts not SciresM that I'm talking about neither anything official to do with atmosphere.
PiRAcY lol NSZ, NSP and all those installers + sigpatches enable piracy, those arguments are so invalid.
YEP, that's exactly what I'm talking, many devs did things from A to Z why something to just load from USB to add to atmosphere seems to be even more illegal than hacking the whole console and run pirated content lol...

EDIT: Forgot to say that it seems to be even worse than now someone releasing an exploit that would run on all switches and latest firmware and all we needed was to press a button and bam it's all hacked, but loading from USB = NOP it's like 10x worse than that :rofl2:

Iirc, the launcher used to launch XCI files does use some of Nintendo’s code. I could be mistaken and I can’t find where I read that, so correct me if I am wrong
