Nintendo apologizes for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet performance problems, new patch released

sadsadasdas.png

When the review embargo for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet lifted, one of the biggest problems both critics and players had with the games was the performance issues. A little under two weeks have passed since then, and it looks like Game Freak is getting around to fixing some of them. A version 1.1.0 patch of the game has been released for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, bringing the first season of ranked battles to the games, as well as patching out select bugs. Included in the patch notes was also an apology from Nintendo, who stated that they are currently working on improvements to the games, in regard to performance problems.

We are aware that players may encounter issues that affect the games' performance. Our goal is always to give players a positive experience with our games, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take the feedback from players seriously and are working on improvements to the games.

"Our goal is always to give players a positive experience with our games" Well that's a lie considering they shut down anything related to their IPs.

Preformace was shit. They may of optimized the code, but they also could of just overclocked the hardware and called it a day.
Then they get sued for broken switches. Nintendo wouldn't allow it anyway, it's not like there is an API endpoint on the switch to simply overclock the system.

last i checked there actually are performance profiles that vary per game, some having access to higher clock speeds than others

I bought the game, it wasn’t all that bad, I had a reasonable experience, my expectations of games has been lowered after I preordered BF2042. Frame rate issues are indeed abundant and some really weird issues where my feet went through the terrain, but after seeing some people have their game go bananas, I consider myself lucky.

The apology makes it seem like they didn't know they were releasing a garbled mess to cash in on Christmas sales

Which of course is impossible for anyone who played more than 5 minutes, it's blatantly obvious how poorly the game runs
