Any idea's?
Could you show me content of bootloader\hekate_ipl.ini?
Edit1: Have you update fusee.bin yet? You can follow this guide for more information https://rentry.org/UpdateCFW#pc-method (Use PC Method only)

No, not without cleaning you Sysnand with something like https://github.com/StarDustCFW/Haku33.

Your GC will update itself once you disable the safe guards for preventing GC firmware updates that @Hayato213 linked to above. Once you do that your GC will be enabled and it will automatically update.
Hey again. Since I can't update System FW officially, do you think the GC issue I am having could be fixed with updating to latest System FW through Daybreak?

okay so whilst I am backing up these roms I have followed the switch hacking guide and used my laptop to inject payload on a fresh memory card just to establish that I'm good to go before I start to wipe everything.
works fine as expected.
also tried to use my ns atmosphere payload injector dongle with the fresh new memory card and it throws up a boot error about wrong version.
I expected this, is it just a matter of changing the payload file on the dongle itself to the updated version that i launched from my laptop using the tool?

I have ended up updating my switch to the latest ofw from nintendo.

am I still going to be able to install downloaded xci and nsp titles??

Is your AutoNOGC value set to 0?

As I explained previously, your firmware doesn't affect your ability to hack. The exploit used relies on the hardware of the console, not the software, so unless you send your Switch to Nintendo, you will always be able to run CFW and launch homebrew.

It is set to 0 in the hekate_ipl file. I updated to 14.1.0 through Daybreak. When I inserted pokemon violet gamecard, it said I need to update. Message appeared in non cfw sysnand. I don't have an emunand

A system update or a game update?
I have an original hackable switch but I messed it up trying to upgrade.
I can now only boot into hekate. It's got a mismatched pkg1/pkg2 issue so I'm trying to install a new firmware to sort it out.
Since I can't make it to atmosphere I'm using my PC to sort it out following this guide:
https://switch.homebrew.guide/usingcfw/manualchoiupgrade
I've tried various versions of firmware that I downloaded from
-snip- Like 5.1.0 but every time I try and run ChoiDujour it gives an error:
Using source firmware files from folder fw
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "ChoiDujour.py", line 517, in <module>
File "ChoiDujour.py", line 225, in call_hactool
Exception: [WARN]: Failed to match key "bis_kek_source", (value "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX")

I got the keys using lockpick_RCM.
The firmware file is unpacked in the folder fw

Any idea where I'm going wrong?
First of all, remove that link to the darth website. Firmware files are copyrighted material and those are against the rules of the forum so you cannot share a link to them otherwise you risk getting a warning or even a suspension. Secondly, try using EmmcHaccGen instead of ChoiDujour.

Well some people have said that 15.X is stable and it has been out for a while so I think it safe to give updating to a higher firmware version a try. This will even let you be able to install and play the update.
Message says that game icon won't appear on home menu until system is updated. I have had system offline and in airplane mode ever since I started hacks on my system. Should I update to latest system fw through Daybreak?Worried that if I update to latest, might still get that message. Help appreciated [emoji846]

I'm highly doubtful that message would still persist even if you updated your system to firmware 15.X but if worst case scenario it still does appear, we'll think of something. For now, all signs seem to be indicating that your console needs to be on a higher version and there is relatively low risk involved in the process so I recommend giving it a shot.

Ok. Sounds good. Should I just update to base 15, or go with latest? Really hope updating will fix issue. My question is, how would that gamecard and/or my switch know I need to update, when I have had system offline for a long time?

I'd go with 15.0.1 since it might have fixed an important bug somewhere. This shouldn't affect your gamecard slot though. Also, whenever you update the firmware, it updates an internal list that the console maintains so it can know when an update is available without being online.

Ok. Should I do update through Daybreak again? I don't have an emunand, only have sysnand...

about the spinning icons
Yes I deleted the corrupted games using System Settings the spinning icons persist. I can install other games yes, it's just some newer games that are giving this problem

Are you certain they are actual games and not just updates?

Yo folks, having problem with hekate and launching my usual emuNAND. I have tried updating my hekate_ipl.ini but that only alters the more configs section. For the actual launch I get the message. "No main boot entries found... , Check that bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini has boot entries , or use more configs for more boot entries." Whenever I use the boot entries in more configs I get the message "failed to apply 'nosigchk'!" I'm assuming this has something to do with my sigpatches but I don't have much experience with modding so I haven't been able to successfully implement it I think.
