Second Super Mario Bros. movie trailer shows off new scenes from the film

I'm a massive movie buff and have a huge collection of movies, however I don't own a single animated movie and I'm simply not a fan. I've never watched a Toy Story or Shrek movie even.....

That said, am I looking forward to this?? Heck yeah!!! I'm super excited to see this movie, it looks brilliant and I genuinely can't wait.

This could well be the first animated movie I ever buy.

Also should Jaleel White replace voice actor Ben Schwartz? Also just like in case of original Super Mario Bros. live-action movie I watched somewhere online EarthBound/MOTHER,but it had even less in common with Nintendo videogame adaptation. No Giegue,No Giygas,No Porky,No Aliens.

It looks great, but even the trailer has too many "fish out of water" moments for my taste, and I don't dare imagine what the film will look like.
And I don't like that it feels like Mario is framed like some Chosen One, savior from another world yadda yadda.
We shall see.

In case of Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie instead of doing remake/reboot Sega and Paramount Pictures they are both doing sequels very extremely belated delayed sequel after sequel.

Would Jaleel White,Kath Soucie,Cree Summer reprise their roles as Sonic the Hedgehog,Sally Acorn,Dulcy the Dragon? Who would voice Bunnie Rabbot after death of Christine Cavanaugh? Who would voice Tiara Boobowski/Princess Cyberooski in future? I heard that Jazz Jackrabbit would had as originally intended it’s own cartoon TV mini-series. It’s hard to say speaking of what if it might have even its own live-action movie or not.

If you look at it that way, the actors are just doing a voice over, which is sort of the job that the foreign language voice actors do full-time. So in some cases it makes sense if they can do it better. German Mario also sounds better than Chris, actually everybody sounds better than him.

I feel like Peach is cocky and smerky, out of her character there.
Same how they changes Samus character in Metroid Dread. Samus became this Cocky, neurotic character suddenly, where she never was like that in the slightest.

Bad writing or planned to make her "strong woman" i guess. Like she never was strong lol...
Whatever it is, i see red flags.

But i'm sure the movie would be fun at least... To bad for characters.

Seconded. It looks like they're at least avoiding the super cringe route that a lot of this stuff takes through Hollywood but it feels like Chris Pratt's voice acting is holding it back a little bit. He sounds like he can't be all that bothered.

Yet again the film industry fumbling strength in a female character. It's weird that they still haven't nailed it down.

Women don't need to be infused with masculine traits to be strong.

Looks great! Should be fun as long as it's not constant nostalgia/reference pandering.

Not keen on Peach's voice much though. Mario's and Luigi's I actually think aren't that bad.

I know what you mean. It's not dreadful but it's not as soft and breathy as I thought they'd go for Peach. Charlie Day as Luigi is a stroke of genius, as is MUTHAFUCKIN JAYBLES as Bowser.

Chris Pratt is eh, so many better people could have voiced mario. I love IASIP, but I don't want to hear "huffing paint" Charlie as Luigi. Another one where they could have gotten someone better with voice acting.

I have mixed feelings, it's gonna be great or complete shit. I'm telling myself it's just out takes so that's why it's seeming bad. First of all none of them sound as in video games as we got used to hearing them over decades!

If you just listen to voices, without seeing faces, hearing names, references from Mario universe you'd NEVER say it's anything Mario related!

WTF!!!!! Where Is the Italian ACCENT from Mario and Luigi???????

You've literally rewritten them from scratch and Luigi, isn't goofy, scared, clumsy as he should be.

Toads are annoying, try hards, constantly talking, talking, talking like suffering from ADHD, just some mainstream worn-out crap heard million times before, seriously irritating.

Peach, the bossy lady that all of a sudden doesn't need (a man, she's a strong independent woman ready to wage war on bowser

) Mario or anyone else to be saved by.

The voices selection, just none of them don't sound like characters from the games, it's extremely disappointing.
