Is this eXtremeRate joy con shell or is it some metal alternative :P?
They are from https://www.boxypixel.com/. Very good guy.

I tried re-doing the whole JKSV process, and while it still gave me "create save failed" errors when doing the batch create save, I was able to get around it by going to a select few games I wanted save files from the most and selecting "A" to make a new save for that game. Then I was able to find that folder in JKSV, delete the save it made, and transfer my save out of the "out" folder.
You might have a game in there that causes a hiccup and stops the process. Might have to go one by one to see which one causes the “create save failed” and give the author feedback if you can pin down which one is having trouble.
For some reason, the Metroid Dread save that I pulled from the NAND backup was more towards the beginning of the game rather the end where I last played it. The save file I'm looking for would not be somewhere else would it?
It would not be anywhere else. You can look and see if there are any alt names (such as main and backup in the case of Pokémon) that have multiple copies for safe keeping.
I know it was when I was playing Metroid that I recently had the problems with atmosphere giving me the error, so perhaps that save file was corrupt and was uncoverable anyways.
Interesting point. Would make sense if this were the case.

Hello! it's me again!
I downloaded the sigpatches from the thread (not the auto generator, just the file attached) and pasted them in their respective folders. then i followed this tutorial on how to install tinwoo and inject games (downloaded from nsw2u). I have a couple question

1st. the downloads contain multiple files (dlc, updates and the big file). I don't know if I have to select them all and then they merge together
2nd. I use tinwoo, install via usb etc... it gives me invalid nca signatures error, when i dismiss it it gives me another error, code: 2168-0001 (0x2a8) and program 01000000000100D, what to do?

The files are mixed, some are nsp some are nsz, i tried installing a singular nsz and nsp file. same result

This is the error i get

You have an Emunand, looks like your sysnand is clean, if you want you can update via nintendo server, but do keep in mind injecting a save via homebrew have moderate chance of a ban, best way is to use two units to be honest for pokemon, one for CFW and one for online.
Thanks for the help so far! I just updated to newest OFW via Nin servers on NAND. Do you know how I can access Pokemon save files with JKSV? I started a new game on Violet and saved my game. Rebooted to CFW and loaded JKSV but don't see any save files

Thanks again.

A few more questions.

Do you recommend regular backups of the Nand in case something goes bad? I am scared of something getting corrupt again, but maybe I'm just worried and with me being on FAT32 it won't be as much of an issue.

With AUTO-RCM enabled, all that means is that I don't need the jig slid into the joycon rail, correct? My understanding is that I need the payload injector no matter what and that it is just a convenience thing to not have to take the joycons out.

I do a full backup to a new SDCard every couple of weeks and then use the new card and out the old card into a rotation with several others. That way I have a couple iterations of backups. Probably a bit paranoid but that’s the insurance I buy myself.

Correct. AutoRCM “corrupts” your official bootloader by flipping a couple bits at the beginning causing the system to panic and boot into recovery mode. Just a creative, and yes convenient, way to force it into RCM instead of shorting out pins. You need a payload injector no matter what (unless you modchip it or put in a Trinket M0.)

Because the NAND is seperate, you have to run homebrew on sysnand to access to jksv. But keep in mind you do risk getting banned.

Hi guys. I updated my hackable Switch to 14.1.0, and inserted Pokemon Violet into gamecard slot. I got a message saying that system needs to be updated? How can I proceed? Any help appreciated :)
Game Cart (GC) play requires you to upgrade the FW for the GC. By default most guides skip this with autonogc=1 setting. If you want to mess with the pain in the ass that is game carts you can enable GC firmware updates in lieu of all digital downloads from “friends” of the same titles by changing the setting in both atmosphere and Hekate.

Aha…means you need to update FW. You can do this via standard Ninty processes. Upgrade all the things and let it rip!

It will prevent you from downgrading at a later date if you so chose to do so. Cartridges aren’t worth it if you’re going to run on the high seas anyway…IMO

Is it safe to connect to internet for this? My switch is hacked though, won't I get a ban risk? I have had my Switch in offline mode ever since I started hacking system...

What do you think my ban risk will be if I connect online to update System FW? IS it safe to update games also?
