I used a TL866II Plus with IC clip to dump said flash chip. You can find them relatively easy on eBay or AliExpress.btw could someone like link me a place to buy any equipment I would need for that I am totally new to this type of thing

It's more expensive if they come with the adapters.These are like $100maybe some other time lol unless im missing something
yeah i was looking at ones without adapters too and they were like $64 at the lowest, im realistically going to used this about 3 or 4 times at the most so I'm not trying to take out a mortgage on it lol im like 15 and make $10/hour

just because they scared the creator to not make anymore there is nothing stopping Chang from setting up shop just like the current makers and sellers of these current RCM dongles and HWfly
I was kinda surprised that nobody took advantage of it being open source and made clones
but then again there are a lot of things that the Chinese could make cheap that I would want to buy but they just don't , I mean with all the tons shit they make I am really shocked sometimes when I can not find something for cheap that in my mind I think would be readily available by the shit ton
a few examples are 8x8 LED matrix with I2c backpack, I could only find 2 on Ali and ebay and other sites that were cheap , and one comes in a 3 pack only , they also only come in red and in one size,
another thing is a cheap $10 or sub $10 RGB/RGBW controller though I am not looking anymore but a few years ago when I was there was nothing

oh! I meant the fake dongle because i donāt really even need it and it would be of more use to you because of that programmer

I mean yeah but do you really want to do that? Like I barely trust this thing to be plugged into my switch let alone soldered inside lol.
Lucky. The seller didn't even respond to my message, and it was past the 14 day period to open a dispute on AliExpress. I expect they're fully aware of what they're selling and they don't care.

where are you that a m0 is cheaper than pi pico?
where I am the pico is $4 all day long and the m0 is at least 8 if you can find one in stock at microcenter , if you have to purchase from adafruit their shipping is high
Without a response from the seller (not that I was expecting one) or the ability to open a dispute I don't really have any options to get a refund.
Edit: They did reply, I guess AliExpress didn't notify me. They just repeated the steps on updating the payloads with a PC though, which I already told them don't work on this dongle. Sent them the picture from the OP, let's see what they say.

I Have a original RCMLoader from 2019, is a RCMLoader One, come on a transparent plastic box,
This works like a Charm, you can change the injected payload pressing the "+" button and the update of payload is easy as copy files to an USB Thumb.
Last Year I did buy a Fake "V5" from Aliexpress:
This is funny, by example, the "Reset" button is not a 90Āŗ one so you need to disassemble the unit to press it.
If you copy several payloads to the folders, at first you think you are changing the one to be injected pressing "+" button, but you never know which payload is the one to be injected, you can press the + button but the color show by pressing do not correspond to the one show when injecting the payload and neither correspond to the payload folder been injected.
And for some time I also have had a R4Ė¢:
This "works" the only problem I hasn't been able to create a CURRENT.UF2 with new payloads.

You can actually add payloads to yours through USB? Must be a different V5 than I got.
yes I can, but for simplicity, only copy ArgonNX-SE to ATMOSPHERE_HEKATE and leave the others folders empty, and reset the rcmloader, so only a payload is used.
Get mine today from ali. Idk what is original or not anymore
It is v5 i can change files on it via pc and it has a good type of reset button :X
One slight problem with it is that it has very tight/strong grip on the switch usb c port and only that port xD
