Thanks again for help. For Atmosphere, do I need latest patches? I heard something about sygpatches? What are they for? Sorry, bit confused about that...

I'm pretty sure I or someone else already explained this to you before but I'll do it again. There are no such thing as "sigpatches". Those are just a buzz word for noobs. In reality, there are ES, FS, & Loader patches. ES patches are needed to play .NSP files and FS/Loader patches are used to launch .XCI converts as well as homebrew .NSP files. The latest patches can always be found in this thread. If you ever update your CFW or firmware, you must update the patches.

Thanks for the help and info! Is there a specific order when updating System FW? Should I update Atmosphere and Hekate before System FW, or do it after? Further thoughts and help appreciated :)

The order doesn't particularly matter however there is something to keep in mind. Newer versions of CFW will always support older firmware but newer firmware won't always work on older versions of CFW. Knowing this, it is therefore objectively better to update the CFW before the firmware because in case something goes wrong, your CFW will work but if you do it in reverse, there is a chance your CFW may not work.

Thank you so much! Is there a specific FW you recommend I update to?

The game itself runs on firmware 14.X but if you're looking to install the update, you might need to update to 15.X. I personally always go for the second highest firmware as everything is not always supported on the latest firmware.
Refer to my previous post.

I have not touched my switch in a while and it has Auto RCM enabled and is set up with SX OS. is there a guide out there to help someone like me completely remove the SX OS and Auto RCM so I can set it up with Atmosphere?

Well, SX OS like all CFW is not installed to the console. Instead, its just one file called boot.dat which is on your SD card. Removing that is tantamount to removing SX OS. You also might as well remove any folders with SX OS in the name. You don't need to remove AutoRCM though.

I wanted to remove the Auto RCM on my girlfriends Switch because she lets the battery die all of the time but I don't know how to disable it.
And would atmosphere be the best bet for new cfw?

If that's the case, you can use Hekate to disable AutoRCM. And Atmosphere is currently the only CFW left that is regularly updated.

If I were to get an "open-faced" third party dock to charge my Switch directly, overclock it and not take up a monitor at the same time, would I be able to use the USB 3.0 port for homebrew that requires PC connections? Like sysdvr or file transfer or whatever else. I know there are wireless options but they aren't very reliable for me.

depends on which one you get, there are some what have all the functions of the original and more, and others very simple providing TV output only.

Hi guys. I plan to update my hackable Switch to 14.1.0 through Daybreak, but the Sigpatches I found on here are for 15x. Would those Sigpatches work on lower System FW also? Am wondering before I go through update process. Thoughts and help appreciated :)
