SEGA Master System Injection Emulation Solution

Not sure if this is well known but personally I've always struggled with Master System injections. Some may just advice to just playing Game Gear though there are exclusives to the SMS (Master System) such as the Alex Kid Games.

By changing the file name of a SMS game to SMD using ultimate 3Ds injector allows it to be emulated through SEGA Mega Drive/SEGA Genesis emulation.

Though I would recommend changing the selected settings so you can get a better image. I was also wondering if anyone had any 3D modelling skills to replicate the same style of the Virtual Console Banners. So the Master System can get the love it deserves and looks as official as possible.

Please ask any questions I'd love to learn more as I'm quite new to the modding and homebrew scene, thank you!

From personal experience it does I've done both Alex Kid in Miracle World and Shinobi and they both play perfectly fine. If you want to try it yourself I'd be here for any questions or general support. Make sure it isn't the beta version of Ultimate 3Ds injector needs to be the most up to date proper version release.

I’ll have to check if I have the latest version or not but if this works this is awesome, I could do some photoshop to make new Master System assets if needed.

It’s too bad Sonic Drift 1 isn’t on Master System, it’s literally the only Sonic game to not get an official or non official port to the Master System and it’s also the only Sonic game that has issues when injected as a vc getting stuck on the results screen after the race.

Off the top of my head I can think of a couple Master System games I’d like to convert, Castle of Illusion and Micheal Jackson’s Moon Walker, besides Shinobi.

I'll look into getting sonic drift 1 to work for you, I'll at least try to get it pass the results screen after a race.

And any assets would be appreciated, currently still using just the 3D banner used for GBA but made the colour black, not the best but better than nothing

I’d appreciate it if you could get Sonic Drift 1 to work past the results screen, thank you.

I’ll wait for a confirmation though if a Master System theme mock up is needed, for all I know the creators of Ultimate 3DS Injector might wanna make an official one instead and upload it to their server for convenience.
