I managed to get most of the screws out out, but I'm starting to strip the ones underneath the joy cons. I wait until the person who installed the mod chip replies to me.

This is a marvelous idea!

Side note about the screws: They are actually JIS screws, rather than Phillips. They look similar but Phillips screws are designed to cam out under force to protect the piece (and destroy the screw instead) vs a JIS which bites into the full face of the screw and will destroy the material you’re working on rather than strip the screw.

This website said the screws are a Philips 00, so thats what I was trying to use.

Hopefully I didn't strip them too badly (I only have 3 screws left)

Hey relatively nooby user here, I updated my firmware and atmosphere version after not using the switch in a while, and i can't connect to the internet anymore. I have the dns set so it blocks the nintendo servers and all that and wifi works when i boot the switch normally (not in cfw) but in cfw I cannot access tinfoil stores and when i test the wifi it comes up with an immediate error that the internet connection has failed. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Do you have any files in /atmosphere/hosts/. If so, please share their contents.

Also check, but don’t fix yet, that you’re not in Airplane mode and that your Wifi is configured in Emunand and DNS is set up in Emunand.

E: internet connection failed is normal if you have Ninty servers blocked…mine does that but I can still use Tinfoil. It’s a bad test that just checks if you can contact Ninty.

Thanks, I'll be sure to check

I recently I had an isssue with my games, it say something about data being corrupted I updated everything and it was working no issues. On the unmodded side of the switch I have smash bros on the modded side I didn’t have it suddenly smash appeared on my modded side and all my games disappeared I can see my sd card has used space so I’m sure the games are there just not sure why they don’t show the switch

When you boot into your modded side, please take a screen shot of your Firmware version.

Appreciated!

You picture shows you have an (S) at the end of your FW version. This means you are booting CFW on (S)ysnand and not emunand. In short this means everything you are doing regardless of how you are booting is happening on yiur real eMMC. I would not be surprised if some interesting things are happening due to this confusion.
What should I do to fix the issue ?
impeeza was responding to Hayato213 about an issue regarding NSZ files. AtmoXL is unrelated to your issue.

Hi.
Stupid question!:
Somebody have test the switch time last version on super Mario odyssey for 1st anniversary?
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand the question. Could you perhaps ask this question in a different way?

Guys, does anyone know how to solve this Tinfoil problem? Some games I download look like this, with this black icon

The black background with the spinning “waiting” logo is typically from a corrupt source. Try deleting from System Settings -> Data Management and installing again or find a new source for that particular game.

E: also would like to know how you installed Tinfoil. Did you use the self installer? If so did you install it via title override?

I am learning as I go how can I get the safety going ?

Go through this carefully:

https://rentry.org/SwitchHackingIsEasy

When you get to the part about CFW make sure you chose the option for your Switch type that says Emunand.

As long as you stick to the plan you will be safe as can reasonably be expected (hacking is never 100% safe.)

I got nothin for you, brotha. That’s a question for suchmememanyskill He seems a little bummed with the Switch scene as of his latest comments in the thread.

I got an answer from Github member @dezem. Apparently he has a version that works on OLEDS (or at least worked for me).
The version can be downloaded here, just for reference.
