yeah im still sticking with my 6800GS

there is nothing out there that makes me want to spend 180 to 200 for a new video card right now.

Im playing a lot of indiegames and they run fine.

I rather spend that money modding a wii.

I wish they quit trying to push graphics and work on gameplay more like more of the indie developers, but that would
require gamers to change themselves as well so it would be profitable.

I hate u graphics whores.

just kidding

You haven't played Call of Duty 4 or Bioshock, have you?

i havent played cod4.

I did play bioshock, but I consider it system shock 2.5.

Still, IMHO those two games don't move me to spend 200 dollars maybe 120.

How about STALKER? Loosely based on Roadside Picnic. The movie Stalker is very good too.

CoD4 is just....epic....

That card is pretty good for $109. Could also try an 8600GT

lol
thanks for trying to convince me to spend my money on mediocre cards.

those cards are "the crap" now

stalker was blah. I am not the big fan of fps as I use to be.

anyway, on topic

the 9600 is going to be even sweeter when the price point is a little lower
i predict a drop to 130 to 150 by summer time

Best card for $109, $160 is the minimum for a good one.

STALKER is an RPG FPS with a great story, 7 endings, and a very "real" feel. Really, it's either a love or hate game.

I don't see the 9600 staying a serious card for long. In 6 months, the 9800s will be $200-$250.

Just ordered a MSI 9600 GT overclocked for £116.00 delivered

From all my research it consistently out performs the 8800 gs which is the closest priced card and pushes the 8800 GT pretty close, and I save 50 pounds! Woohoo! It performs over twice as well as my 8600 GT i have at the moment, and even that runs fine, although Crysis nearly sets the monitor on fire it's so graphically intensive. And from the benchmarks this card runs amazingly up to 1680 by 1050 and as thats all my monitor can support it looks perfect! Although a bit annoyed it's cheaper in America, but you always get the cards cheaper there god-damn it!

Speaking of graphics cards, my computer's graphics card is pretty crappy, it is a GeForce 6150 SE. I mean all I want to do is play Warcraft 3 with about 60fps (right now I'm at about 15).

So I was wondering, what is the best moderate graphics card I can get for a reasonable price? I'm looking at something like $50-$60 so I can get 60fps on Warcraft 3. And keep in mind that I am in Canada, so newegg's cheap prices aren't available to me.Â

errr...AGP or PCI-E? I'll assume you have PCI-E and suggest you this though. Spend $10 more and get this:

Well I kinda have no clue what that means, the AGP or PCI-E. I am currently using this computer:

According to that, you have a PCI-E Slot. So the card I posted is compatible with your PC. Buy that if you can.

I'm quite interested, and one of my friends said he can install it pretty easily. Is this one of the best deals I can get for this?

I'm not very informed with Canadian Shop sites, But the price is comparable to US Prices, so I'd say it's a pretty good deal. Actually it's 2 cents cheaper than the US version on TigerDirect.

If all you're playing is WC3, I'd recommend getting an older, used graphics card, search craigslist or something. My PoS x300 SE (slower edition) which I've long since replaced, could run WC3 at 60 fps
