  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
But if no limits I'd say get a 128gb pny for like $15
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Prob get USB 2.0 cheaper also
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'd like a couple of type c 256gb thumb drives but I'd still have to use usb A adapters lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Tbf I've switched directly to micro sd with adapter though made life easier
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
lol I have like 5 of those on my desk right now, 32gb though
    +1
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Just wanted some cheap smaller ones because I can never find any when I need them
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
And I still can't find them when I need them either
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@K3Nv2, Anker has what is IMO one of the best microSD readers on the market. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Portable-Reader-RS-MMC-Micro/dp/B006T9B6R2
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Ye anker is good but it was like double the price at the time
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Downside is that it doesn't do any other formats than SD and all of its sub-specs, but beyond that it's been very reliable for me
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
And I wanted a type c option for portables
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I got a double-ended one from a 3D printer accessory vendor at a 3d printing expo last year, does SD and microSD but has USB A and C on it. That's my other go-to one lol idk the brand though, some generic overseas shit
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
An extra few dollars can really make the difference even with one's that claim usb3
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    facts
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
sd cards are slow as shit no matter what though lol
    +1
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
All honesty anything on Amazon that has a rating over 4.6 is pretty decent if that's like out of 5k reviews
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
New Gen ones claim to write over 100mb
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
They have a new gen SD cards coming that are fast, but still expensive. Switch 2 supposedly gonna use it even. Read/write 800mbs. Called "express" cards.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Even full size sd have faster writes because more space ofc but cost more
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
That's why professional cameras still have full sd slots
