    No, it does not matter which IOS is currently running in that game. All that matters is that he got powerpc code execution. The Hackmii Installer will take of whatever IOS is running then.     Finding that bug in SSBB took me maybe a few hours. The exploit itself is way more complicated though since the memory layout is not exactly trivial.     What you're talking about is a know-plaintext attack. AES - which is used to encrypt the NAND - and every modern crypto algorithm are usually not vulnerable against those attacks.

    No, apparently you don't seem to know why HBC turns upside down. Running it with a wrong titleid already causes that. It's also illegal to distribute HBC wads just like it's illegal to distribute IOS wads fwiw.

Sure, it's even more awesome if other people are using my tools but I enjoy writing or reversing things more than actually releasing...
