  • F @ FateNightroad:
What if you put in the wrong engine oil in your car?
  • F @ FateNightroad:
Is it safe to still drive it?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Like 10w30 instead of 10w50? Or like Diddy baby oil instead of engine oil?
  • F @ FateNightroad:
Don't know the specifics, but it's definitely the wrong brand.
  • F @ FateNightroad:
It's still engine, just the wrong brand.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
As long as its engine oil should be fine, no matter the brand, but if worried, get a oil change.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Im the reason why @FAST6191 dissappeared
  • F @ FateNightroad:
To be to a body shop, I'll need to turn on the car, but will it mess with the engine one I do. Hypothetically speaking, of course....
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
You see, I started being more active on october 2023, and he dissappeared at that same date
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
This means that he didnt want to deal with me anymore and thus he left the site
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
He was always a free spirited type, come and go person. Would travel and be gone for long periods, Irc.

  • F @ FateNightroad:
Is it difficult trying to drain the engine oil manually by yourself? Asking for a friend...
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
No, you just put a drain pan under car, and loosen/ remove the the oil drain plug. Here: https://youtu.be/1AVrebTzXws?si=GhSSIeliHS8vHK9c

  • F @ FateNightroad:
Don't have a pan, but it's a public street, so no one cares. Thanks.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Gonna have to put that oil drain plug back in when done draining, n it'd be oily under there with no pan, but whatev. Have fun.
