It's not so common and people aren't so exposed to it. Back when I had tennis classes the teachers used me as an example of sorts and had others play me to get used to the lefties. -

It always happened whenever I had to hit a backhand. I just passed the racket to my left hand and hit the ball like normal, it's way more comfortable and faster than trying to hit the ball with your right arm
