  • Richard, here's a question for you. Do you know that Uncle Grandpa has a Christmas special? It's true! And guess what, Santa is Uncle Grandpa's twin brother! He has the same face.

Richard, I have a question for you. And it's a tough one. Remember that Pokemon snap game? And do you know that Pokemon loves to eat apples? Well, I heard that classic game will be on the switch soon.

Oh, I see. Speaking of shows, on Toonami, there's shows from Japan, especially Sailor moon and Hamtaro the hamster. Don't tell me that you never heard of these shows from Japan, right?

Years later; apart from Pokemon (which I was obsessed with for quite a few years, before losing interest before the Unova arc), I didn't watch anime as a kid.
Also, why write separate messages on my wall? Why not just reply to your earlier post?

Sorry about that, Richard. Also, I remember watching Pokemon and Hamtaro when I was a child. Besides, I know some of the episodes of the two shows.
Richard, I haven't told you about this, but the classic cartoon, Animaniacs, are returning with a new season! You know that show when you are a child, right?

Nope. Never watched that show. My childhood consisted of several different Boomerang and Cartoon Network shows - Looney Tunes, Baby Looney Tunes, Pokemon anime, Tom & Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Ben 10, several Batman cartoons, and likely quite a few more I've since forgotten - but never Animaniacs. As for Nickelodeon, it was really only Danny Phantom.

Oh, I did also watch Kids Next Door; that too. Never did watch Dexter's Lab or Code Lyoko or Home for Imaginary Friends or whatever; they just didn't appeal to me.

Richard, I'm so excited for Halloween. But my friend, Paddington Bear, doesn't celebrate Halloween in Peru. Of course, he already knows what Halloween is when he celebrates the spooky holiday with his human family.

I do wonder how Halloween will go for the kiddies this year, considering the "2020 Plague"; will they need to wear masks underneath their, uh, masks? Will they need to thoroughly wash all sweets they're given? Will they have to go to houses individually, instead of in groups?
I haven't celebrated Halloween in years, and throughout the time I've lived in this house (Year 8 to early twenties)...

...none of the neighbours have either. Haven't ever had kids knock on our door.
Just switched over to Australia's new NBN, and...the modem's not connected to the Internet. Joy.

New NBN? Wasn't that supposed to be up years ago?
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
No; just being implemented now. As far as I know, previously it was privatised or something between two major commpanies - Telstra and Optus - but in the past three years or so the Government decided to implement a national network.
I dunno; all that I know is that this NBN is just now coming online, and that we need to change modems.

Currently using our old modem, since the new NBN one I mentioned before isn't quite functional yet. Hopefully it will work soon, but...eh, whatever.
Just learned Epic lost their stupid lawsuit against Apple. That's...good. Fuck da weasel.
Richard, you know, I always love Halloween. Because every October I get to watch Halloween movies and shows. Also, do you know that kids have birthdays on Halloween, too?
I see. Anyway, you know about the first Pokemon movie from your past. Because I love the adorable Pokemon, Mew. Because it is very cute. Of course, Ash and his friends meet three other trainers on new island. But I mostly love the royal queen of new island.

Imagine complaining about a game having too much women.

How does it restrict the number of usable characters?

@Scott Pilgrim It restricts the number of usable characters, because the majority of them aren't likeable; the majority of them aren't appealing to play as. Instead only 11-13 of 32 (depending on the chosen sex of Robin and Corrin) are worth using, which is such a shame when the rest of the game is quite decent.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
It also makes missions with a Spear restriction even more frustrating, since there's no-one good to play as until it's S-ranked.
Currently playing Fire Emblem Warriors again. Good game, but the character roster is severely unbalanced.

    2. There's ZERO male spear-wielders. NONE. There's ONE male axe-wielder (Frederick). And there's stages that have a deploy limit of "Spears". Ergo, no likeable playable characters can be chosen.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
This is despite the series having MANY wonderful male characters to choose from, even before Echoes - for example, for axe-users, there's Vaike, Gerome, Arthur, Percy, Gregor, Basilio, Walhart, Priam, and many others from the DS, GBA, GCN, and older consoles.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
For spears, there's Subaki, Kellam, Stahl, Benny, Ignatius, Shiro, Shigure, Gunter, Silas, and older characters.
There were so many potential characters to choose from, to even out weapon spread (most characters in FE:W use swords, alongside the sex balance issues above), and to make the sex ratio far better. But nooope - let's make all the spear units women! Let's make women severely outnumber men! Disgusting.
I hate realising there's three beings I love more than anything that flat-out won't live to see the next decade...my grandparents, and dog.

I just can't help but think about this at times, y'know, especially when my dog's suffering from hip pain because he's a very excitable ~12-year-old medium-size labradoodle and went for a run yesterday. Then I start despising life for being so painful, and have to try to distract myself by gaming or reading. Sometimes doesn't work for a while.

The tragedy of pets is their short life. After my cat died 6 years ago I haven't been able to look passed that - and have never gotten another pet.
I really wish Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Arena were on the Australian PlayStation 3 Store...

Dude I feel you. Ended up having to buy a giftcard off of Amazon and get them from the US PS Store

As I wrote, I can't even get them digitally; I can get P4 Arena Ultimax, but not P4A or P3FES. No, I have to get them from freaking Ebay, along with that FreeMCBoot PS2 memory card thing and hope that allows for PS2 region-lock bypassing.
